Silver Beatle's continuation

Postby Cyclonewill » Fri Dec 27, 2024 3:41 pm

While dreaming about our very own teardrop for years, and more than one trip through the build threads here the wife and myself headed south of the Red River in September and rescued Aggie79 's Silver Beatle ( build thread here: viewtopic.php?t=26988 )

The seller told us that he got it in a trade, and wasn't exactly sure what he had. I recognized it immediately as it was a major influence toward what I was wanting to build. An excellent deal was struck, and that evening it was home after an uneventful 250 mile first trip.

It was pretty evident that the camper had spent a lot of time outside: quite a bit of water damage along the galley sides, and the tongue "chest" was pretty badly weathered. It towed fine, and all the running lights worked, but I'd already started my list of repairs and modifications to make.

(Bear with me as I figure out how to add pictures)

Welcome to the forum, and glad you rescued the teardrop! I remember Aggie79; he had some valuable comments on our build.

Sounds like it will be a fun project for you. Best of luck!
