Door handles sound like progress to me. You are spending money. :)

I have my floor finished mostly. Got a side profile template cut out and ready to start building the walls. I have bought a lot of stuff for my build, but still need to buy more. This build is not going to be cheap. I started out thinking that I would try and find used stuff, but I am finding it hard to want to have old used things in something that I am spending this much effort into making.

Those handles were a little pricey but they just looked right for the Travelear; very art deco. I checked out your build thread and she's going to be so cool! Even though we both will likely spend more than we'd planned to, our little trailers will be something special and worth handing down when the time comes.

Dave...you made an excellent choice on the door handles! There are rubber gaskets available if you don't have them and I would recommend getting them. I've used those handles on 4 tears.

When building a project like this...you put so much time and effort into making it something special...don't cut a corner that you will wish you didn't cut in the future. Do it right now. Down the road...it's all time/ money and effort to redo it...+ having to go through the "I wish I would'a done it this way" mental discussion....the price difference between getting something that will work as opposed to something you "really" want is soon forgotten. Hi Guys, Found out that my chassis has been delayed until the first of March. :( So to keep my head clear I've been finalizing my construction plans.

This is plan one of two for the exterior, I hope you like it. Please let me know if you see anything that looks off.

Dave, I know it is your profession, but those plans are artwork all by themselves. Suitable for framing type artwork. That is going to be one beautiful trailer. :thumbsup:

Nice looking door handles. Also very nice looking drawings. I really like your design. To me it is the ideal teardrop.

Looks like we might be CNCing the walls for the Travelear. I've got a super nice fellow looking over the patterns now to see how much it will cost. It would make the build that much more accurate and accelerate the build.

Here's how the wall construction is shaping up with the CNC.

A couple of our good friends have decided that they want a Travelear of their very own! So it looks like we'll be making 2 of them!!! We'll work the kinks out on mine then make a duplicate for them. This may be the start of something...

Hey Debbie, bad news. The new ETA of the frame is possibly mid month now. :cry: We'll see how thing progress once I have a firm delivery date.
