first camping trip

Postby mvperini » Sun Oct 10, 2010 3:05 pm

Left friday afternoon to go to a small T.O.W. gathering, set up in front of the lodge that the group had rented for the weekend. people trying to get a look inside the trailer even before i had unhocked from the car :? and had set up camp.Talked to a lot of people that had been following the build on this forum  Even with all the rain that fell friday night and saturday night almost an inch and a half we had a great time. the trailer did not leak a drop :applause:
Image
the interior of the trailer was a big hit with everybody and tha fact that i had only been working on the trailer a little over 2 months

On the way home i stopped at a weigh scales and was suprised that the trailer only weighed 2000 lbs

regards Mike

Postby mvperini » Tue Oct 12, 2010 9:03 pm

after our first and very wet camp out with the new trailer everything is all dry now and ready to be put away.

So it is back to work on the trailer, need to install the new flat screen tv and DVD player, going to pick up a retro radio so i will not be installing a stereo in the trailer. still have to hook up the propane tanks also will be taking it to the DMV for new plates and title then to the insurance company

Regards Mike

You said you had lots of people wanting to see inside.

I have never ask to see inside a factory build except at a dealers.

your's looks great

flat screen

Postby mvperini » Sun Oct 17, 2010 9:53 am

Installed the new flat screen tv, used a wall mount that tilts, swings out for viewing then moves out of the way when not in use.

now we can watch movies on those cold and rainy nights here in the north west

Looks good Mike! I don't see a vent on the side of your trailer....do you have a furnace in it and if not...are you wanting one or fine without it? Doug

furance

Postby mvperini » Sun Oct 17, 2010 7:25 pm

Doug the trailer does not have a furance, we bought a new 110 heater for the trailer works great has a built in thermastat, we used it a the TOW gathering and were nice and warm when we got up in the morning. still have a few things to do to the trailer and will do the finish polishing so i can put the sealer on the outside before winter. then it is on to the 1951 Boles Aero restoration
