It amazes me that this build thread still comes up after 6 years. Glad people are still looking at it and I hope it helps people with their own builds. I am in the process of building another trailer and I have a build thread going right now. It is called ' The Standrop" I standy with a galley. I will try and update the latest pictures tonight. I took a 3 week vacation so it has takes a little while to make some more progress. No book in the works for me. I have trouble enough with my build thread, I would never finish a book.

Where did you get the folding bed mechanisms? Did you buy them new or salvage them? And do you know what specific model of van it came out of?

They were out of old Ford vans I think, and I got them at a pick n pull junk yard. I think they were 25.00 each.
