Heikki, I will definitely stay tuned. I, like many, don't comment much but enjoy a lot. The light you are working with should look great.
What are the color schemes you are considering?

Well since its been colder than cold outside again and it doesnt seem to be letting up this week cant do much. However its time to start cutting side walls and ribs.

At the moment weve got templates of the Hatch Ribs and will be cutting them by router. We,ll do them for both Kits since they are being done.

10 pieces in total using Oak. The original ribs were rotted real bad so its time to lay them to rest and work on some new ones.

Here,s a pic of what I salvaged. The rest were totally gone off of Kit number 1 in progress ;) .

And the trusty Router will be waiting for tomorrow morning when we go out and get some Lumber. Let the wood work begin.

Ok here is the back light restored.. ready for mounting. All new wiring, bulb base and inside is painted in a high gloss aluminum paint so the lighting will be a bit brighter. Also the plastic lens was buffed out from scratches as is the license plate lens. All is as new.

I still want to buff the lense out more with the wifes polishing tool. And special polish for plastic & acrylic.

Im no pro but did it as best as I could. It was fairly rusted on surface outer and inner. Also it was lightly bead blasted and sprayed with a base paint and gloss black with 2 coats of clear. Also I used marine stainless screws to replace the 2 old ones.

The best of all is that no EU Law applies.. :R since its a museum oldie. :D

Does anyone have photos or instructions or plans for making the lower galley cabinet doors at a slant instead of directly up right? This for the Kit. I know long ago Grant told me about it but gee cant remember how the extra leg room was achieved by this..  :D

Greetings Mike. Very nice truck you have there.. :applause: Not much done now on the Kits since we are in the moving stages and its taking a lot of our time. Each trip one way is 450 - 470 kilometers but sides are cut with cnc as well as all the spars or ribs whatever they are called. In Oak wood.

I can hardly wait to get to our new home so I can build this time in a garage.. Mother in Laws or should I say wifes parents home..
