Nice work

If you are sensitive to the solvent fumes, try to put a fan behind you while using CPES and stay up wind from them even with a respirator.

Hi Larry: You are doing a very nice job on your TD. I like what I see. I used West Marine's Epoxy to seal up my wood. It took two coats with a lite sanding between each coat. It is not near as potent as the CPES either.

I know, what ever you chose it will work out just fine.

The other day I put the first coat of cpes on and today I used the fill-it epoxy filler on all the counter sunk screw heads and on all the voids on the plywood end grain. Next weekend I'll put another coat of cpes on and hopefully that should be enough since I'm skinning with aluminum. Vacation is over now!


Oh yeah, my daughter about ready to pop. I was hope-in to get done with my build before she gives birth but I think she'll beat me.

I am so fired up about becoming a grand dad! I told my daughter Andrea that her and her husband Jamie can go camping with us but they would have to use my tent while me and (Noah) sleep in the camper.

I'm going to sand it and get it ready for this weekend to put another coat of cpes on. When I put the epoxy filler on I scraped off as much excess as I could before it dried. That way I won't have as much to sand off. When that stuff dries it's as hard as a brick.

Well it looks like my daughter finished her build before I could finish mine. Noah James Mcgehee was born 5/20/11 at 10:12 pm.

Sharon your not too far off, my daughter had a boy. When their newborns, you just can't tell right away by looking at pictures.
Cliff, he'll be my little fishing and camping buddy for sure.

As far as my build I haven't done much lately. I did finish cpesing it and I did some hatch lid work. I've been working 6 days a week 8 to 10 hour days lately but another vacation is on the horizon.
