Hey there...2 questions...
1. The entire underside of your floor is one uninterrupted sheet of aluminum?
2. Where did you get the aluminum? I want to clad my roof with it and don't know where to obtain.
3. Wherever that was, would you know if they have it with a colored surface? I might like white, brown, or green.

Yes, 3 questions. Reminds me a little of the beginning of the Monty Python "Spanish Inquisition" sketch.

Yes the entire underside is one piece.
It is Aluminum that they use on semi box van roofs, and I have a friend in Denton NC, a few miles from me, that sells it to me at his cost. Up to 200 ft in lenth. Let me know if you want to pick some up.
It only comes in the bare aluminum, but I may have one other option that you could get in colors, what lenth and width would you need?

Howdy.

Don't know yet about length, but I'm about 90% sure I am doing a 5 foot wide Benroy style, and the trailer length is 8 feet. Someone else may know what I'd need, but thinking in the 12 to 16 foot range.

I will find out soon how long I can get color pieces.

I have been very busy lately with work and some other things, and havent had much time to be in the garage.
I have ordered and received my windows, trim, sky light, Fan, and a lot of other odds and ends.
Last night I did start on bolting the floor to the frame, and I have been working on the walls as well.
I have put the prerimiter joist layer around the wall, and cut the out line of the door out.

I was able to spend quite abit of time in the garage on saturday.
I finished cutting the door out, and bolted the floor to the main frame.

After cutting out the door, I added some pieces of wood around the door opening.

Then late in the afternoon I was able to get both walls stood up and fastened to the floor.
I screwed through the top of the piece of wood that was sitting on the floor.

Then the last thing before the end of the day was to add one roof joist to hold everything till next time.

Then I pulled it outside and hooked it to the murano for some photos, I should be getting the drop axle soon which should drop the whole trailer down by about 5 inches.

...Nice lines. So, the surprise is 13' feet long and 5' wide?
...Enough room for a conventional Queen sized mattress.
You ought to be very comfortable in that. :)

The wife has got to know what's going on by now, doesn't she?

The floor is 12 feet, the walls are 13 feet by the time you factor in the radius turns. And its 6 feet 5 inches wide.
And my wife had an idea because I accidently let it slip about a camper....because of that, I intentionally tried to let something else slip to throw her off track, so I think that she is just thoroughly confused at the moment....... But I have kept all building supplies hidden, so that is the only way she would have any clue to what was going on........ she just knows that there is a suprise that im working on......So im still thinking that it will be a total suprise to her! :D :D
