Dale is like that too. I start explaining something to her, then you see the eyes start to roll and she switches off.

Big day today!! :applause:
Nothing to take pictures of....scraped off a lot of 67 year undercoating, took out all of the upholstery strips, remove headliner bows, just generally got the body ready to leave the shop for sandblasting???
Had a great night out in the shop last night until 12:30 am, fitting the front sheet metal, welding in floor supports, and planning the Galley.
Some days you can accomplish sooooo much,,,,,,and things still look the same to everyone else??
Nothing will get done tonight....as the College National Championship Game is on!
Go Ducks!!!!
So another night on the couch in front of the Game.  :wine:
A Man needs some down time?

Like I said.......it looks exactly the same today as it did yesterday! :(
Even after a day of great progress??
And tomorrow? All you will see is tail lights going down the driveway, as the body leaves for the sandblasters.
Remember, we still have a foot of snow in front of the garage door, and it will have to go in an enclosed trailer so as not to get covered in road salt on the way home. That would start the rust process all over again??? :R
Maybe next week for those pictures? :pictures: :FNP

After seeing the results of your first teardrop, Miss Piggy, it is a whole lot easier to view your progress on Kermit, knowing that he'll go from a towed "toad" to a "Prince Charming" teardrop!
I guess what I'm saying is that, knowing you and what you can do, makes it a lot more exciting and interesting to watch. 8)

Thanks for the confident support Sharon!
Had a not so good day today....but did manage to pick up some aluminum for our under storage area doors.
And did book a date next week for sandblasting.

Ditto! I've got so many family members and such that went to Ohio State that, to cheer for the Ducks instead of the Bucks would have been some form of family treason. ;)

Congratulations, Buckeyes!

Attention Kermit posters, you are watching history being made, right before your eyes. Nowhere in the world, is such a one-of-a-kind, absolutely flawless and original camping trailer, being made or has ever been made. The only drawback that I can see, is that there is not a speck of sawdust or any kind of wood being used. How can this be? Just wait and see, a marvel is in the making! Keep up the good work, Brian, and don't let that foot of snow in the driveway slow you down. Now, if you need any carpentry or cabinetry advice, just give me a hollar, but I know it ain't gonna happen. :-)

Thanks Roly
Your vote of confidence is always appreciated as you are such an innovative builder yourself.
You are right, there wont be much wood in this build. And the only nails I will be using will to be to fill holes in the firewall (old welding technique)
Well the snow did not hold me up, but the Sandblasters schedule did!
But, I am back on track.......here Kermit goes to be sandblasted.128115 :) :) :)

Okay that was Monday!
And today is Saturday.......so what have I been doing all week?
Picked Kermit up from the sandblasters on Tuesday afternoon in an enclosed trailer (didn't want to get road salt on my fresh blast), after which there was some beer drinking after the unload.
Back at it Wednesday, more fitting and cutting. Started welding up the holes in the firewall, which will act as the bulkhead between my tongue box area and the cabin.128117128126128124
More pictures to come in the next post. ;)
