I am planning on building a "Widget". After looking at yours, I may end up with a "Stand Up" Widget. My wife would like to have a toilet too.

Here was my original plan for the pop top. It was only going to require 1.75" or so as it was. Pretty low profile.

On your popup fabric i would run the lid edge up behind the retainer strip (the same direction as the trailer edge) instead of down. The way it's shown the fabric will be trapped when the popup is closed and subject to wear.
