I think you are doing a fantastic job! I've been on here for a couple of weeks and just started looking at the build threads and I am really impressed by yours and the others.
I am planning on building a "Widget". After looking at yours, I may end up with a "Stand Up" Widget. My wife would like to have a toilet too.

Thank you very much Frank. There are a lot of really great ideas by members here and I think it is a very good idea to soak it all up for a while as you are. I had planned my TTT mid Winter and then I found this site and have many times over modified my design. That is after all the beauty of it; you can do whatever it is you wish.

PS I have a very limited budget and did not put that much into it to start. Nothing wrong with starting before next Spring and when you get the tax money buy the expensive items to complete your build. My build is full of Craig's List purchase and salvage items. I figure I am less than $800 into my build thus far. Not too much more to buy really.

My dinette table will have no leg. I have built a gusset underneath. This will in turn, slide into a pocket I build at the back of the dinette "VEE" seat. The end of the table that is against the far wall will also secure. When the table is moved down to form the sleeping platform the gusset falls 1/4" short of touching the floor.

Here is the underside of the table:

Not enough battery for a flash photo, but you can just barely see the gusset under the table. I have it held for now with C clamps to check it out. It is pretty sturdy.

More work done on my dinette table. I have created the pocket that the table gusset drops into. Here is a look at the table in the up position:

A look under the table. Look Mom no leg! Nice since it is narrow not to have a leg to have to work around when scooting in.

Here is looking underneath when the table is lowered. Notice the gusset stays in place on the table:

Here was my original plan for the pop top. It was only going to require 1.75" or so as it was. Pretty low profile.

On your popup fabric i would run the lid edge up behind the retainer strip (the same direction as the trailer edge) instead of down. The way it's shown the fabric will be trapped when the popup is closed and subject to wear.

The lid perimeter board is taller than the inner ridge board, so the only contact point is the bottom edge of the lid perimeter and not the inner board. So in theory the fabric is not pinched.
