What's your cubic ft? Ours is around 700

About 400 and I've got 1-3/4" of polyiso insulation everywhere. I also have small CPU fans that blow the hot air from the ceiling down to the floor so it doesn't stratify. But didn't you say an electric heater kept you warm? Those are usually 1.5kW.

As I look at these heaters, I see the 5kw is only 5 on high. Low is 2kw. I agree that 2kw is probably good. But then if it's not, then what? And I won't sleep without a vent or window cracked, so I suppose if 5 is too much I can always open the Fantastic Fan. If there was a price difference that would be my tipping point. But there's little to no difference in price. You're also right about the electric heater keeping it pretty comfortable. Although I will use the Flame King to bring it up to temp a lot quicker and supplement once in a bit after I've had the windows cracked.

I never overthink anything. Still on the fence...

You know, you need a couple muscle bicycles on a back rack, a couple Schwinn Stringrays or Sears Screamers come to mind, complete with stick shift and slicks.

In the back of my mind, someday, would like to build a retro rocket, early 60s, futura styled cruiser motorcycle complete with late 50s Cadillac rear fin and rocket
turn/ taillights. Jetsons style.
All in the same style, era as yours.
I dream of genie.... Yup, definitely got to have a genie in a bottle, with Barbara Eden popping out on demand.

Bruce, I'm wondering where you put your fuel tank. I originally thought inside hidden in the compartment. But I dreamed I was filling it and spilled fuel everywhere. Must be my subconscious saying "don't."

I would consider location outside, so you do not have diesel smell inside camper. The tank must have a small vent hole in any case. Also the fuel pump is making clicking noise, so locating it outside to reduce noise when you sleep is not a bad idea..

I put mine in the tongue box. I have a diesel truck so I can fill both tanks if I pull up to the pump in the right way.

As Bruce said, 2kw might be enough. But I noticed that 2kw is 2kw, 5kw is 2kw-5kw and the 8kw is 5kw-8kw which would never go low enough for my space. So i went with the 5. I also joined the fb page and have learned a lot already.
