Stainless steel bread boxes from Wally world... not for holding bread, but will hold chips, canned goods, etc.

Yes, I have noticed the heat with my lights too and mine is in a house! You probably won't have any issues since the galley will is open and will have wind.

I noticed this condition in my tent shortly after the potluck dinner at LCG.

Smaller 15 = 25 watt bulbs will help to greatly reduce the heat (and glare).

Many of my lights have a single 4-7 watt white or clear christmas light.

Out camping I really don't like the hard harsh light of 40 to 50 watt bulbs.
All I want is enough to see the immediate area.

I run 25watt bug lightbulbs when I can ib my house, I love the warn earthy feel vs white light. Good suggestion on the smaller bulbs and Christmas lights too since Julie and I share the same fixture in her small trailer and my big trailer LOL...
