I used one to replace my failed plastic hinge on my tongue box. Much smaller than most hatch hurricanes.

I have already purchased the hinge. That one would have saved me a few bucks though

I have been working on my trailer wiring. I took some pictures I found online and did some work in Microsoft paint trying to join everything together. I think it is mostly correct. I'm not sure about where the reverse lights go on the vehicle side.

Does anyone have an idea of what wire from the Jeep side is used for the reverse lights to connect to the 7 pin connector?

The Wire color by Vehicle Manufacture in the picture is what i found on etrailer (bottom of the page)

Maybe a clearer question is

The center pin on 7 pin connector on the vehicle side is for reverse lights.

To the left is the Jeep wiring colors. There isn’t a wire for reverse lights. Only Tail, Brake, Turn and ground.

So in order for my reverse lights to work on the trailer is all I need to do is splice into the reverse lights of the Jeep?

I think it might be the single use bulb labeled "brown" but Right turn and Brakes are labeled "brown" as well

In hind site I guess all I really need to do is trace down the wire for my Jeep reverse lights and splice it and run a wire to the 7 pin connector. Wire color really doesn't matter only the function.

I got the AC side of my teardrop figured out. This is how I plan to wire it.
I don't want to run different 110/120 outlets for my shore power and inverter power. I want to have the same outlets throughout the trailer

So on this drawing when Shore power is connected it immediately feeds CB1 30 amp breaker.
That will feed CB2 and the Converter and power the DC bus.
Voltage is also fed to CB4 via the bus bar.
Voltage hits the NO contacts of the ATS energizing the coil
Voltage then goes to the 20 amp CB on the Sub panel. That feeds the other two 15 amp breakers that is connected to the outlets.

When shore power is removed
Voltage to CB1 is removed which removes the converter CB2 as well. (disconnecting the converter) The battery now supplies power to the DC bus
Now voltage can pass through the ATS via the NC contacts to the Sub panel 20 amp breaker that feeds the other two 15 amp breakers that is connected to the outlets.

On the PD5110610V Automatic Transfer Switch (which is essentially a double pole double throw relay) I had to move a couple of the wires so the Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) contacts were in the correct position.

Iv'e been working on the 110v, solar, and 12v/USB outlets in the tongue box.





I also worked on the boxes for the interior outlets and light switches.














Pretty much ready to start running the rest of the wiring.

Been working on the electrical in the tongue box. I wanted to get all of the components and holes mapped out before I started painting the inside. I also need to finish fiberglassing the exterior and lid

I worked on the tongue box a little more. I changed the the round over on the front and bottom of the tongue box. I went with the 1/2". I thought it looked better and after discussing it on another thread the bigger round over seems easier to fiberglass. Which can be found here viewtopic.php?f=21&t=68194








I wanted to pre-fit all of my electronics and cut the holes for the wires before I painted it. In the photo you can see the xxx's and other lines. That is where the lid hatch will sit so I had to make everything below that line ect... I also caulked everything before I painted it.

I got the rest of my tongue box fiberglassed and sanded down. Sprayed it with bed liner. I decided I liked the textured look better so I didn't reduce it and thin it down like I did on the side wall. I will re-shoot the side walls again to match the tongue box. Now I need to finish running the rest of the electrical and hook it up in the tongue box
