Nice progress so far! Your first build looks a bit more ambitious than mine (which isn't started yet but will be soon), but I don't have welding skills or welding equipment either :(

Also, nice tow vehicle.

thanks for all the positive posts.

I have been battling the decision of insulated or solid walls and using pre-made doors. So the decision was not to make any saw dust until I slept on it a few nights.

Ok... so i'm going ahead and making my own doors and using sandwich walls. Let the games begin.

I knew i was going to make insulated walls. And I debated my doors for a long time. I wanted a curved top door, nobody makes them. And I also didn't like the looks or cost of a prefab door. I didn't know how I would make a curved top door. Then I realized "Hell, I don't even know how to make doors so will learn how to make curved top doors when i get to that point. I then started cutting and there was no turning back.

TD building is a learning process. You know more at the end.

Looking good Kevin! It's a good feeling to see how your teardrop will look with a wall stood up, isn't it?

No kidding... Wife had to jump on and make sure her head would not hit the ceiling. She finally got the visual of the actual size and really increased the excitement level.

Tom great advise... That Jig Saw is awesome, best purchase ever in a hand tool. It's almost like all you have to do is turn it on and if follows a line.

Well the doors are cut... Man those are some big doors. Yeah!!! I was really concerned that they were too small then too big. We will really be able to open it up at night.

Thanks... sdave and YuGun. I'm ready to get camping, the wife is really getting excited.

Finished cutting dado's and cut outs for insulation... One word of advice ROUTER! I will never do them on a table saw again.

Wow what a last few months... Remember when accountability was considered a personal trait? Well that is for another forum.

Originally was going to use maple for all millwork, after a little test staining it just didn't look that good. So now I have switched to oak. Man if I would have been there 10min early I would have been using Walnut. It was on sale for $4 bf and it was beautiful watching it being loaded in another truck.

I have completely redone my dust collection, and taking some vacation, time to get busy!!! Watch for pics
