The pic of the axle in position doesn't show this fact but this axle when mounted the curve of the axle is downward not up. And it is not a hard to see curve/bend. But it is in fact also a very heavy axle I can't image it will have any deflection under load.

But I could sure be wrong.

But there was no choice in having curve up or down it only assembles in one direction.

Frame is completed, per factory.

Axle mounted and tires.
Tomorrow (maybe) I buy 2 pieces of Oak hardwood plywood, 1/2 inch for the utility deck. Final deck size 5 x 8 feet.

I will put 5-6 strips running the length of 8 feet, oak strips appx 1/4 inch thick x 1.25" wide. Purpose just to allow easier sliding of panel materials onto deck. Sheetrock, plywood etc.

Underside of entire trailer will be undercoated in some manner, all exposed surfaces will most likely be done in spar varnish. A "matching" oak low stake body will also be installed, again for utility mode use.

Once all of that is done, plus all wiring, including brakes, then the Teardrop construction itself begins. Hopefully Springtime will be here by then and outdoor working temps will be better.

After LOTS of napkin drawings and study of many of your Tears I have decided on a modified Benroy for my design. 9 feet long most likely 5 feet wide and 4 feet high, will overhang the front by a foot, (8x5 trailer bed) and of course the tongue will be appropriately lengthened and reinforced. This should also allow for better weight distribution without moving the axle.

Details are far from locked down, but it feels good to have the basic form set and I am working on wall construction and floor construction details. The sides will be "woody" style, the roof will be painted white to match my tv.

The unit will sit on top of the utility trailers deck, since it does need to be removable so the trailer can function for other purposes.

Insulated, and with a fairly full galley.

Meanwhile the construction of the trailer in utility mode is moving forward. The deck is finally glued up and drying now that I have 45 degrees current temps.
