The windows will be functional still looking for the pop out hardwear most of the one's I have found are for the 56 - 64 and I need the 65 - 72 I'll make the hinges, I picked up 250 ft roll of weather striping for $25.00 at a military Jeep Show / swap meet last month that's going to work out to seal the windows in the recess.

Good luck! and please post detailed pictures if you get a chance. I have a short stack of those windows saved for a rainy day build.

Here are some new pics; I have been able to get two coats of Spar Urethane on the wall the weather has turned cold for a few days and I really don’t want to run the bullet heater or the 150 BTU house heater right now to heat the shop just to put the Urethane on. Any way I found out today that a spot on my right Kidney is cancerous and It is going to require some surgery to fix or (should I say get rid of it) so I’ll have to pull off of the project for three to six weeks to get this done. If I get any more done before the surgery I’ll post the pics.

Hope you get well soon, and everything goes well with your surgery. The exterior walls have a nice character to it. The first name that came to mind for your trailer was Tiger Woods, get it... like tiger stripes, ok not that funny but made me laugh.

Your tear sides are looking quite lovely.

Good luck on your surgery. Just because your build has to be put "on the shelf" for a while doesn't mean you can't join in the talks, here. While you're healing, there may be times when your mind is bored yet you can't do much more than lift your fingers on the keyboard. 8) Join us when you can. It's good for the soul.

PS. If you like tea, add a pinch of Saffron and a dab of honey to it and drink it down. Saffron is supposed to make cancer cells self-destruct in the liver and it just might work in the kidney too:

How did you join the edges of your plywood together? Great build and remember that the saint that advances on his knees never has to retreat. You are in our prayers. keep up the good work. :applause: :applause:

Thanks everyone for your prayers,

looks like the weather will be warming up next week so I should be able to get this wall completed before all the doctors visits and the surgery I hope.

Boanerges4 As for the joining of the plywood edges it's not the edges are all splitting a 1x4 and glued and brad nailed to all the 1x4's that make up the wall structure, this pic of 48Rob cabin car (and I hope he doesn’t mind me using a pic here) shows how the seams will be covered with 1x2 Cypress after they are all coated with five coats of Spar Urethane.

Image

Also when I started this trend I kind of started in the middle so here are some pics of the frame and the holding tanks I installed before I installed the plywood over them, the red paint on the plywood is 4 coats thinned rustoleum and 2 coats of unthinned.

floor covering cut and layed out

Postby legend lime » Tue Nov 15, 2011 8:47 am

Moved the frame up to the garage in the house and layed the floor covering out, cut ready for glue.

The cut outs in the center are for under floor storage

I got an appoinment this Friday to talk with the Dr. on how he plans on removing the Cancer. As you can see I am trying to get as much done now before the surgery.

RE: Nice Build Pics

Postby mezmo » Tue Nov 15, 2011 9:22 pm

Hi Legend Lime,

Sorry to hear of your medical problem. It sounds like you caught it very
early so the odds are with us for your fast cure and recovery.

The build pics of your project are great. You're going to end up with a very
sturdy TTT. And 'love the natural finished woods.

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo
