Got busy today.
I put the vent up top to see how it will look.


Then I put in some reinforcement support for the vent.


Reinforcement Done.


Then I painted the insides of the wheel wells with some good under-sealer.


Then I glued and screwed the wheel wells in. Oh, yeah, I routed the top edge of the wheel wells to give a smoother appearance inside.

Got a few more things done today.

Clamped in the inside front skin. Makes the tear look a little closer to being done.


Finished the back wall of the tear.

Filling in the pocket holes with wood filler.


Started work on my inside cabinets.


Added some shelves.


After the wood filler dries I will do some fiberglass work where the walls meet the floor to make it look a bit nicer and of course make it stronger.

Slid the cabinets into the tear to see how they are going to look.

Got the inside skins on today. Looking forward to buying the insulation.

Cut out the opening for the vent and slid the cabinets to check the fit.

Cut out the opening for the kitchen slide out.


Mounted the 400lb drawer slides in the kitchen. I slid them out and like the distance I'm going to get on these slides.
I'm working on the slide out shelf now.

I finally got some stuff done on my new teardrop. I have been too busy building other things and have been starting to feel a bit guilty leaving this project for so many days.

Got most of the insulation in the tear. Starting to look like the end is in sight.

Testing the amber light location.

Kitchen in. (I will be starting to get the cabinets built. I have some good ideas for that.)

Finished up the insulation and got the side marker lights placed but not fastened down so I can do some painting done.

How'd I miss this really cool build? Very nice! I really like the slideout kitchen detail. (The red color is pretty cool too!)

Got a couple of Kreg Jigs. Love the things.


Pocket Holes in the sides.


Attached the sides. Put a pocket hole every 6 inches. Made for a very strong joint.


Adding more trusses.

Can you explain this a little more my sides are only 1/2 plywood and i"ll be attaching over the floor. I bought at Kreg jig but haven't tried it yet

Craig makes a smaller jig for half inch applications. But I'm not sure how well it would work for 1/2 inch plywood. I watched all the kreg videos on youtube to get some ideas. I'd like to see some pics of what you are building.

I have a long weekend to get really far on the teardrop. I cut out a few running ponies to decorate the teardrop. Can't wait to see how this project turns out.
