I'm not sure I read it correctly. You removed some of the pocket screws? The screw provides all of the strength if it is an end grain glue up. I'm assuming you replaced the screws after you did the routing.
BTW, I use Durham's Rock Hard Water Putty for filling pocket holes. It's cheap, dries fast and sands nicely

The screws will be replaced after the routing, however they will likely be belt and suspenders because once the skins are glued on I don't think the screws will add anything.

I now have a left and a right wall frame! I routed the 1/4' rabbit around the cabin where the ceiling will be installed.

I finally got my mid-year bonus and was able to get the NT trailer. I didn't get any pics together but I figure you guys have all seen a NT trailer in its basic assembly.Of course I missed the sale AGAIN and had to pay full price. I decided that I wanted to use a single piece of ply for the base. I checked out the local lumber and they wanted $158 for a 5x8 piece of plywood . I looked around and found a discount retailer that had 5x10 plywood seconds for 37.50 so I figured it was worth the 60 mile one way trip to check it out.The store also had a couple of sheets of pre-finished maple ply for 30 bucks so I picked that up too. The wood itself seemed pretty good with some knot holes on what will be the bottom. The seams on the top were filled but not sanded so I did what any good parent would do.

Can we say hurray for child labor. :D

I dry fit the side walls and trimmed the floor to the correct length. The fresh cut piece looked good with no voids or anything so I think that I will go with it. I will have to make sure that I get a good seal with the black goo.
here is a pic of the side walls temporarily clamped to the trailer.I put in the insulation in so I can get a better idea of the space:

Next I will have to remove everything, connect up the lights, Install the fenders and take a trip to the DMV.
In the meantime I needed to do the hard work of cleaning up after myself.

He loves it and he knows that he must wear eye and ear protection whenever a power tool is turned on. He would have been wearing a dust mask too but the vacuum for the sander is pretty effective.

Well after a long hiatus I am back at it. To be more specific I got back at it in late May and I have been chugging along at it since. too busy to post and all. I will make several posts so and try to make this sequential.

I skinned the interior walls with 1/8 pre-finished maple in the middle of May. I built the bulkheads out of 3/4 pre-finished maple.. The walls were glued and screwed to the trailer along with the counter and bulkheads. The counter is made of maple flooring that I sanded and re-finished.

I next installed the flooring. Just cheap peel and stick but It goes under the bed and should be easy to replace if I got that urge.

I next built the upper cabinets for the Galley. I decided to make the doors sliders so that I don't have to clear off the counter top in order to get to stuff in the cabinets.I am still toying with the lower cabinet layout.

Next came the headliner. I my hardwood supplier didn't have Pre-finished Maple in 1/8 so I decided to go with unfinished birch. I sanded, primed and painted the headliner and installed it with the spars. I used cherry to trim the seams in the headliner. I also installed the reading lights. Please enjoy

One think that I will do for the galley for sure is something that I haven't seen before.
I built a butcher block top for my old Coleman cooler. It holds to the top with magnets. The cooler can slide out on full drawer slides and act as extra counter space or the cutting board can be removed to access the cooler

I followed this step up with a road trip out to see Grant. He couldn't have been more helpful or more of a gentleman. A bit of cash later and I have all of the trim that I need. I have started on the hatch but I will need to take pictures later to show you all. I will need to get some aluminum very soon so keep watching.
