Thanks, got to spend a couple hours on it today. The only think worth mentioning is that my roof is insulated and skinned in birch, also my corners are fiberglassed and one coat of epoxy has been applied.

That's all for now. Another coat of epoxy tomorrow and then again Tuesday and we should be ready for some trim metal by the weekend. Unless my axle shows up then I will be welding a trailer frame.

Curb side metal on we will get the other side today.

Made a tongue box but I'm not done w the epoxy coat on the lid,

Headboard is done and installed, all electrical is complete on the interior

Wired and fired the hatch lights to make sure the open/close switch was working

Drawers and doors are mounted on the cabinets

Doors are made w metal and windows, need to make a backer plate for the locks and stain seal the door jamb.

Fenders should be delivered today and I will try to paint them this weekend. Lights will be here tomorrow I might be able to drag this thing around by mid week.

Welded the tongue jack and ball receiver the other day.. Ran all over town looking for stainless truss screws and only found them in slotted which I hate installing but they look nice. Found a used rivet squeezer on clist and picked it up for the solid rivets for the hatch trim. Still looking for a hatch handle and am missing a few pieces of edge trim. I am leaving for a camping trip a week from yesterday hopefully I will have everything ready to go....

A short synopsis of my AC/heat unit.

I bought an lg package unit 5k cooling 3.5k heat. I took the front panel off the unit and made a sheet metal panel to replace it w a 4" duct for the forced air and a 6" duct for the return.

I made a tongue box to fit with a open port in the bottom covered by pet screen for ventilation and condensation drainage. 5 4" vents were drilled behind the spare tire and 4 on the td side of the box. This should allow me to just pop the lid alittle if its raining for venting. It has tested well at the shop.

Moving inside through a manifold

The 6" line carries my extended controls and the return air and the pipe stops flush w the Interior wall, this allows me to put a filter over it like it would have had if I had just installed it normally. The 4" line then tees and runs to my two vents in the top of my headboard allowing the air to run over the ceiling and down to me. There are 2 4" vent holes cut in the face of the headboard for the return air just alittle above mattress and pillow level.

The AC unit has a dedicated 120v run to my panel and does not share a circuit with anything else.

Hope this is useful for someone else. With the tongue box and unit I added 90lbs to my tongue weight. I may have been able to cut alittle out of the box but no more than 10-15lbs.

Also, I have been thrilled with both grant whipp and vintage technologies as parts suppliers for my build..

Along with McMaster Carr (hatch struts and hardware, exterior hinges and hatch lower seal) the big orange box store, ace hardware, Hayward bolt co (fasteners, stainless supplies) and speedway motors (ford fenders) summit racing (wheels)

But hands down the best service and advise has been from Grant. I would have zero reservations recommending him for parts, service or purchase advise.

I started with a paper print of his rf10 and took alittle license here and there hopefully it is a acceptable representation of his own design.

My 34 ford truck fenders from speedway motors painted after cutting 7" off the front edge.

You are doing a tremendous job on your build. I really like the fenders and tail lights. I looked at the Speedway site after reading your post.

I am trying to figure out fenders for my build. Which fenders are those, width? ? thanks

Your craftsmanship is impeccable. And your build speed is amazing. It took me three years to get to the point you're at now.
