!976 sterling that I bought 20 years ago as a fire job, rebuilt it with foam and fiberglass- widened it 16 inches in the rear lowered it 3 inches and totally re fabed the interior. I think I have the galley figured out- tomorrow will tell if I figured it out right or do I go back to the drawing board.

sides are up, topper is sitting above the sides- determining how to transition it to the front and side walls. Also figured out how to match the rounded front end and back end. Galley frame is built and the trailer is wired. On the home stretch I think. I am advising not using liquid nails- it does not hold well. I bought a large bottle of gorilla glue and that stuff is awesome. YAY!

I have found you are correct, the liquid nails does not hold all to well, especially on something that will be bouncing down the road.

The front of the trailer will wrap around to match the front of the topper, the hole or framed opening is for a shelf and cubby hole. Up to 465.00 in build costs.

Carpet is in , radio is in, towel rack is in, looking at the ceiling and trying to figure out how to finish it off. MFR installed 3 strips of plywood into the fiberglass, might work something into that

Wow! The frp is so friggin easy to work with. Got my trailer skinned in 3 hrs. Just have to route out the windows and doors. Moving at a steady pace, should have the top done tomorrow. Started cutting it up today.

Got 2 sides done, Top ready for cutting Now to flip it over and do a finished side, oh the sanding and filling ahead.

The trailer will be red with a grey interior theme, going to work on the kitchen tomorrow. I scored 6 premade drawers made out of birch and I have a ton of scrap oak laying around for trim. As mentioned earlier, I scored 4 sheets of slate ( black) formica to make the surround/backsplash and counter out of. Any Ideas on what would look the best to face the drawers (paint) or try to find oak veneer? the front of the cooler is oak trimmed in brown. The middle of the trailer is set up for storage with the water tank and furnace up close to the roof which allows about 2'x3'x5' for cargo. over the kitchen and cargo area is a shelf that is 1' x4' x5' for storing bedding or lawn chairs. I plan on a metal brace to run from the back wall of the interior to the roof for support of a canoe rack on top of the camper and the front canoe support will come off of the tongue with a bicycle rack. Any ideas? The canoe front support and bike rack will flod down and can be stored in the cargo area if not used.

I was a little skeptical when you said you were planning to cut down the roof cap, but it looks like it was no big deal; you must have done fiberglass work before! I had the same thought on the trolley car; it is going to look really good!

On the oak vs. paint, I'm sure that you would get plenty of good suggestions if you could post pics for people to see what you are asking about, especially when it comes to color and finish treatments.

On the storage arrangement, do you have any sketches to share?

There is a wall between the sleeping quarters and the rear of the trailer. 18 inches is taken up with a cargo bay to 28 inches high then the furnace and water holding tak fills this area as well as storage under the floor of cargo area. The last 14 inches is the kitchenette, it will pull out 12 inches to clear the topper overhang and match up with the lift up stove and countertop sitting in the rear door. When i slow down I will try and take some more pictures and maybe make a drawing
