The trick with lining bolt holes with epoxy is to drill them out well oversize first, then fill them with thickened epoxy, then drill them out to correct size. That leaves a cylinder of epoxy lining the hole.

I didn't use epoxy. I just slathered the edges of the holes with plenty of thinned TB2 and plan to use paintable non-silicone window caulk to seal around the bolts and holes when I marry the floor to the frame.

Forgot to mention that the underside of my floor will be painted the same as the rest of the exterior prior to mating to the trailer.

So I filled with thickened epoxy, drilled out. Coated the bolt with some silicon and put it in. Between the floor and trailer frame is a liberal amount of roof tar to help seal. I feel that this will easily seal from any water.

High MT, I thought I'd follow along with your build. I live in the same town you do and have the same view of that butte in the background of one of your photos, only I see it to the South of me :D

Nice looking build. I can't add much since your epoxy bolt hole question was already answered. I build boats out of wood and epoxy so I have a few tricks up my sleeve. Maybe I'll see you around, I occasionally run through your neighbor hood.

Ahh, you've triangulated my position. I am no longer anonymous!! If you ever see me out and about working on it, stop on by and say hello. Epoxy is a whole new adventure for me and any tips are greatly appreciated!

Is love to stop by sometime and check out your project. Heck if you plan on skinning it with aluminum I'd even give a hand. I'm wrapping up the planning stages for tear drop and hope to start late fall early winter.

Finally got around to cutting out the skylight/fan hole. A router with a flushcut bit overhead WILL fill every crack in your body with sawdust. Also 90% finished the galley area. Just need to cut the holes in the sliding cabinets, mount handles on the drawers and seal it. I am trying to decide if I want to make 2 new sliding doors so the color matches... Or am I the only one who notices?

Didn't notice until you mentioned it. I was busy looking at all of the nice work you have done!

On the other hand, if you already have the wood, and if it will bug you forever, now would be a good time to fix it. Your opinion is the only one that matters!

Test fit all of my cabinet doors and installed some adjustable LED lamps on the inside.

Began making the template for my hatch ribs as you can see on the right side of my galley. Enjoy!
