I left the front wall and roof off of mine as long as I could, getting the full interior done and wired, and even the ceiling finished, before I put the roof on. It was a lot easier to step into the front and walk around than it would have been to crawl thru the door over and over.

... but it sure seemed like I was in and out a ton of times!

The reclaimed/weathered look is really nice, and I bet durable for the long run. Nice choice.

Wow, those cabinets look sweet. Very nice workmanship there! I especially like the lattice on the cabinet doors.

This project is coming along quickly! You are really making tracks.

Yes, +1. I think I have said this somewhere before, but those basket weave slat door panels look great! I suspect that they are a fairly simple process to put together, but their impact is fabulous... and very practical, too. With all the ventilation they provide you probably don't have to worry so much about stowing items that might contain a little dampness.

I like 'em. :applause:

Thx everyone,! Coming from the folks who's builds I have seen on here, it's high praise to me . I have spend alot of time looking for things I liked about other builds and have "borrowed" some of my favorites, so if u see something familiar please take my rip off of ur idea as a compliment! The lattice doors were fun to build and yes I feel practical for ventilation. I also keep all the lil packets that suck moisture from all the packages I get and will keep them in the drawers and cabinets as well

So I've built my hatch. Here's my question, does anyone have a sure fire way of figuring out how to mount the gas shocks?

There is a post here with a formula to calculate it.
But general rule of thumb from the guy thats supplying mine is the top or hatch mount should be 25% of the hatch length (point to point ) from the hinge.
Mine work out to be 700 long
