I've completed the box insert and am ready to move onto the foam portion of my build. I apparently made an error in my measurements. The insert is not the same height in rise in each corner. It is flush on one side and not on the other. I think when I was making my cuts I was looking at the measurement I hade written down in each corner for the rise vs. taking the greatest measurement and using that instead.

Consequently, On one side of the insert it goes from being zero and flush at the front, to having a gap of about an inch at the rear. I've come to far to break up all the nailing and glueing that I have done.

I feel that if I fill the gap it will still work out okay. The kicker is that both the floor, and platform expansion are all level.

Picked up three sheets of 2 inch foam today. They are for the walls. I was going to go with just 4x8 sheets for the walls, but decided that I will go ahead and add about six inches onto the 4 foot side.

Took the time to score the edges and walls before applying the socks

Glueing up the first wall. I'd work on the second wall but I'd like to know that the first one is good. AND I'd have to go and find my other tie down straps.

But the weather is good today so I may still get the other one done before sundown

Scored some windows on craigslist

I added some foam to the back end of walls to create a back porch/overhang. Well the extension felt a little flimsy so I reinforced with some glue/cloth while I am working with the foam. I figure it's not going to hurt since it is going to be covered in cloth anyway...

Got a little bit of work done today, in spite of the wind. Though I did have to brick down my work.

Took some lumber I had and cut it down to the thickness I wanted for the depth of the spars. Yeah, no pics of that .

However, here are pics of the spar cutouts





I managed to also glue some cloth in place

before this thing showed up and ruined the party

Not really necessary to take pics. I finished up cloth-ing the inside walls.

Next up...putting up the walls. Trying to get as much as possible done while the weather is still in my favor.

Managed to get one window cutout done. I have to cut the wood supports to screw the windows into. fingers crossed tomorrow.

Worked on getting the wood for the windows. I cut the frames 2 inches in width, and the depth is 11/16ths...

I drilled holes for wooden dowels and set them with GG.

Able to get the window cutouts done. Cut, framed, glued, doweled, and tested.

I have one large window on the right(passenger side). And was hoping to have two smaller one on the left, but ended up with only one. This will still probably work out okay. Depending on how the rear is designed, it might get the spare window I have.

Progress but no pics. The rain came through and spoiled the work day. However, I did manage to get a couple of spars set, and noticed that it will fit into the garage when I have a moment to rearrange some things. You know, toys, etc.

Managed to clean up my garage a bit, compress some things. It fits. AND I can move it outside to work on it, when weather permits
