Got some time to work on the tear the last few weeks.

Ran some wires and worked on the insulation.







Made some switch plates.





The switch on the left controls the outdoor light over the door, second switch is for some under camper ground LEDs, last is a PWM that will dim the outside door light. Each side is controlled separate. The blue lights on the switch were very bright so I added some resisters to make them less bright by a lot. They just glow now.



Had a few days off work and went and picked up the aluminum for the skin. It will be awhile till I need it but they have odd will-call hours and there is no way to get there after work. 4 sheets .040 60" X 120".

It's been awhile since I did any updates here are a few things I've been working on.

The only picture I can find at this stage. I should be taking more pictures.
Yes the Maxair is on sideways, I have been running the fan while working in the cabin. It is getting hot now. When I get home from work it is about 110 degree in the garage.

Had an idea for a third break light on the hatch.
Cut the pieces and glued together with epoxy. Note the tee nuts to secure it to the hatch.




Marked the shape and cut it out on the band saw and shaped it with the belt sander.





Turned out good. It is epoxied inside (the void for the wires) and out.


That's all for now. I'll see if I can dig up some more pictures.

Thanks guys for the replies.

I have off now though the 5th. Planning a marathon 5 days working on the tear. Start at 5:00AM while is cooler (80-85 degrees) Then when it's hot do the running for supplies.

Hope to get to the steel supplier tomorrow to get some square tube and angle and get a start on the frame.

Had a good long weekend to work on the tear, also catching up on some missed pictures.

Working on the aluminum.













Worked on the galley electric.



I like the idea of a plug if I ever have to take the hatch off in the future.



I still need to finish up the wiring in the cabin for the galley.



I always like to build in hiding places when I build. This is the pull out shelf in the cabin.







One of the bigger screw ups I did was when I was wiring the hatch I shared a negative wire with my white galley lights and some red LED's in the galley to help with night vision. I planed dimmers for both using a PWM. Come to find out you can't share a positive or negative wire when using a PWM. I was able to do a work-a-round that will work but not what I planned.





I have the inside of the cabin mostly done, will get some better pictures this week. Also worked some on the frame doing lay out and figuring out the wheels and tires.

I got the inside of the cabin mostly done. Just need to make some final wiring connections once the frame and tongue box is done.

Cabinets and door frames are Baltic Birch with cherry panels and accents.



Also got a good start on the frame this weekend. No pictures of that yet.

We've got a removable shelf (that hasn't moved in years) like your slider and we tend to put all sorts of stuff on it at night.

How are you going to lock that shelf in place? My wheels are turning for the next build.

Could pin the roll out shelf through the bottom of the cabinet next to the electrical panel.. pin wouldn't be seen when the door is closed.. remove the pin when at campsite.. one hole all the way through to the pullout, then using a pin like the following to lock the pullout..
