Taking a little breather here before going back for more silicone.

The hatch with hurricane hinge is in place. The pic was taken before the deck cleat "handle" was installed.

Image

Trimmed up. Taken before all the trim was remove a final time to put silicone at the edges and screw holes.

Nectar holder. We bought a pair of these at a diner on Main St. (i.e Route 66) in Williams, AZ.

Lookin' good! I had, in fact, caught the other thread and knew what was up...I like the color...can't wait to see it behind your car.

Me too. I'm hoping to get 'er out next weekend, but that may be pushing it. We have a Scouts family campout the following week which should do nicely.

The hatch even open up! Trimming out the edges a nice working height is helpful.
<P>

Close up of the hatch handle. Looks much better here than orphaned on some forgotten boat deck I think.

I decided to put a "bumper" trim piece on to clean up the edge of the floor.

The Princess Helper helping out. She REALLY wanted to do some painting, but settled for sweeping. She even took the broom away from me.

Great build.

You almost got me in trouble from laughing at your posts. Laughter is prohibited at the work place.

 :applause: Wow, love that grain!! It really snaps!

 I put the Redtrailers.com logo cross member in the middle, but you can add a bumper like I did to hide it if ya want to.

Thanks, it really is cool I think. My coworkers are constantly wondering what the current progress is.

I left it that way because it was in the best shape of all of them, and I thought it'd be a bit of a joke as well. I can imagine someone looking up redtrailers and being a bit surprised when no woodie TDs come up.

I was hoping to this weekend, but don't think I'll make it. Next weekend is another chance.

Hatch trim with a hidden in plain sight purpose.

Hatch draw latch catch.

T-moulding going on. Man, that stuff bends nicely.

Hmmm, scratching head...

Gonna have to consider this.

Details R Us...

The trim gets trimmed to fit the handle.

Image

I'm loving these 45 degree mitered corners. NOT really. :worship:

Image

The doors are trying to hide. Maybe hoping I'll lose interest and do some wiring instead. You might also notice the wheels jumped back onto the axles. The ugly fenders came too. Scout stiff has another campout this coming weekend. We want to go in style.

Image

I inset the door strikes for a neat appearance.
