It IS a little slow today. Unfortunately the elective stuff gets put on the back burner when the economy is bad. :(

New pictures

Postby Steve_Cox » Tue Nov 18, 2008 3:46 pm

New pictures. Got the galley counter top formica on. Still going to make a counter top insert to go over the stove. I applied 1 coat of paint in the living area of the trailer, needs a second coat. Thought it would be a good time to paint while the galley was out of the way. It's been kinda chilly here, I had to heat the garage a little for the formica cemento de contacto . It didn't want to be colder than 65 degrees. Not only am I building a trailer, by going to the big box store I get to learn a second language. 8)

Looking Good!  Like the vent location right over the countertop.

Is that the air-conditioner under the kitchen cabinet next to the wall?

Yeah Dave, it is the A/C, it has a little fan that pulls the hot air out through a hole in the ledge

A couple of more pictures

Postby Steve_Cox » Tue Nov 18, 2008 9:54 pm

More galley pictures, still lacking trim work, upper storage, counter top face frames and cabinet doors, but it is starting to look like something. :)

The galley or kitchen looks really nice. How is Kim liking it the Gypsies Caravan?

As I recall it was more harassment than help last time, but Mike was the instigator, and we did have fun. I still need to make those mods you came up with

"How do you like the new camper Kim" I queried. "Leave me alone, I'm busy" She said
I'm not good at picking a name, I can come up with lots of them, just can't ever decide. Maybe a poll?

I don't think we can find a pan big enough for this bird.

After looking at yesterdays work in the galley, I decided it needs some modifications and am taking it apart today and making some changes.

You're really moving on building your new rolling home, Steve! I noticed you gave us a sneak peak at the "stained glass" windows, too. Forgive my ignorance; but, what is that little round metal thingie, installed beside the hand pump, next to the sink?

Thanks for sharing.
