At the bottom of page 2 in this thread, MikeSchn posted the perfect looking car. But, would it really be able to pull the weight of Doug's boat or his new Nomad?

From my old Webster's Dictionary:

Nomad: "A member of a wandering people"......very appropriate, don't you think?

I just noticed this new section of the website with the builds journals (I never scrolled down far enough before on the website) so today is the first I have seen your trailer. I am a bit disappointed, I saw 13 pages, I was hoping to see the finished result on page 13. It is kind of like when I was a kid and getting to the end of an episode of "Happy Days" just to see the "to be continued" sign at the end of the show. Can you please get up at 4:30 a few more times and keep this rolling along?

Obviously I am joking (I know it is hard to see sarcasm in this format). Your creativity is inspiring and although I was never a fan of the retro aqua/blue look when I had to look at it everyday in my first 2 apartments I love it in a trailer. Great job, keep up the incredible work and keep the photos coming.

I am glad to have added my two cents (and not because it is worth anything, but now I will get the emails when there are any updates).

Mike posted a Belair, however not a Nomad - below is the perfect TV '56 Chevy Nomad - it's slammed to the ground so Doug can slam the trailer too and not worry about any garage mod.

Doug your build is fascinating to follow, thanks for sharing!

Hey Burke,
That's it!!!!! Could the color be much closer???? And with that car Doug would have to make room in the house for the new g/f that combo would attract! Now if someone could Photoshop Doug's boat / camper behind that '56---so Kool!!! And that side trim style on the camper
would look sharp too, don't you like how we're spending your money?

I'd probably end up just two-toning the Rambler in those colors in the garage over the price on a Tri-5 Chevy. Doug

Doug, you could always drop a small block chevy in the Rambler.

Doug, that pickup of yours will get you there and back without having to stop and fix it. Besides, there is the firewood and cast iron. Looking pretty is good, but not when it gets in the way of camping!

Yo Doug,

I can hardly wait to see the finished trailer. Are you going to bring it to IRG 3.0? If so then I will wait to give you the expanded list of suggested "improvements" compiled from peoples comments. I am sure you will appreciate the corrections to be made.

Jerome

Today I got the upper portion of the galley built. It roughly follows the Scotty design, shelf on the bottom, slider doors for the upper portion. I used the boomerang formica to laminate up on the door fronts. The front of the top needs to be trimmed to follow the roofline. It will get a low profile light that installs under the bottom shelf. Plan for tomorrow is to start building the front seats.....somehow...I'm shorter on space than I originally had planned...don't know what happened, but I'll make it work out, have to! Doug

Doug, I think you have the name wrong. Shouldn't it be "Blue By You"?
Nice job!

If he names it Nomad now, he can always go back someday, come what may, to Blue By You. ;)
