Here's a shot of the Raptor. We were able to get close to some them while taxiing down the flight line.

I went to the local u-pull-it auto looking for some wheels, all of the car wheels have too much offset. And if you don't pull the wheels and bring them to the front, they won't tell you how much they cost. Not going there again.

I had the same problem when looking for wheels. Most of the wheels in the wrecking yards are positive off set. It was slim picking looking for decent wheels. Almost all wheels sold as trailer wheels are zero offset. I ended up pulling the trigger on a brand new set from U.S. wheel. They were 15x6 with a 3 and 3/4 back space. I wasn't happy about spending the $80 a wheel, but they were the style that I wanted. I went with the chrome barrel with the bare steel center. They came with the chrome smoothy hubcap.

That's the style I was wanting but couldn't find the right word for that style. What exactly are they called?

I went with the "chrome smoothie", US Wheel as well. Might be the same one.

The look really nice! :D :D I just need to get a new (wider) set of tires for them now. We bought the 14x7, so I think the 195 tires we have now would look silly on them. I think we are going to a 215. The have a 4" backspace, which seems like it will work the best for us.

Thanks Brian, just before I saw your post I was on summit's site. Prices are actually really good there. I found my hubs there for $10 cheaper than anywhere else. Some wheels have a 2.75" back space, although not the chrome smoothies, I'm really not sure how much I need without ordering the hubs first. But then I won't get the free shipping on the hubs without the wheels. :?
Is there a way to tell how much backspace you need without the hubs? I have no idea where they will sit on the spindle.

Gave the garage a good cleaning this weekend and finished attaching the skin on the left side. Yesterday I tried to work on the inner front cabinets and got frustrated so I can try again today. I wanted to attach a small shelf by the headboard but I spit the 1/2" ply when screwing it in. Maybe I'll try just glue and clamps see if it's strong enough.

Hey Randy, how about some current pic's so we can see what you've been up to? Pic is worth a thousand words (... or you can do like me and use a thousand words to describe a pic!!! ).

Sounds like things are coming along. Keep at it!
