Tim, KC, thanks for support!

Documenting today's progress. Another day - another wall is epoxied in place.

 This appears to be quite a complex trailer that you are building.

In the race shop we use foam that is pre-cut. It comes with 1" pre-cut squares. We always wet the foam out prior to laying glass. Doesn't matter if it's a wet lay-up, or a bagged lay-up we always wet it out first.

That makes complete sense Michael as that way the hole sandwich structure is reinforced and delamination would not happen, period. Could you share how thick is the foam how deep and thin are the cuts in it, is it a proprietary information or the foam(high density?) is sold as such?

We use 1/4" in the shop. The score goes most of the way through. I have no idea where it comes from, I just grab a case when I need it from our team owners boat factory. I'll see if I can find information on that.

Thanks for the info Michael!

One more little step with progress today, epoxied in place the street side wall. You can also see a roof side panel sitting on top of the wall like if in transport mode on the other side. It is roughly cut with big margin until the roof panel brought back inside to make the fit, but that is later. It is a nice sunny and warm day today in my town.

OP that is looking fantastic! It's huge! Will it still be foldable? Keep up the good work man, really coming along great!

Just to look at your pic's, I can't get a good sense of the size. It looks huge (compared to a 5x10 Benroy), but then it seems to fit in your garage just fine. The garage looks roomy for a two car, but still, the camper box looks longer than what should fit.

Probably all just perspective playing tricks on me. These things always seem bigger when in a confined space, then then when you take them outside they shrink down considerably.

Doing great work there.

The trailer plan size is approximately 6'-6" x 14'-8". Lower walls height is approximately 37". The reason it may look smaller is probably because the trailer is pulled very close to the front, garage door. I have a standard two car garage I guess. Thanks for support guys! Will be doing lamination of the lifting roof side panels today. And it still will be foldable, with side folding walls being approx. 22".

Thanks Michael!

Todays update: I am slow in my build, need to focus and do more, not to stare and think of many future details and doubt about things . Anyway, I did make some progress today, glassed both roof side panels. Did their glassing by dry cloth on wet surface method as I wanted to fair some small defects with microspheres and then impregnate my proprietary scoring in foam, so I pre-cut the glass and rolled it on a small tube. I could lay it up nicely by slowly unrolling the cloth on a wet surface, and it worked. I calculated the length of cloth needed to be rolled on the tube from the tube diameter size for Number_of_wraps = Require_Length / (Tube_diameter x Pi), which gave me big extra margin as the diameter is in fact bigger with every wrap around the tube, but that's ok, I got too much cloth anyways.

After the sides were glassed I fixed them with temporary clips to were they will be resting during transport mode, so that when the epoxy glassing cures and the panel becomes really rigid, it will match the wall better as there is almost no tolerance allowed with the small "D" type seals I am using on external perimeter.

Looks like a lot of working is getting done from where I sit! Looks good, too.

There seems to be a lot of that going around on my build, too. :NC :?
