Well it will be just lower than the bench hight in the galley and I could fit 2 Gass cookers in it and a sink right at the end possibly.
My fridge will more than likely be on the bench top so what I loose there I can gain on the draw/galley

my primer and thinners and paint arrived today and id basically taken the day off to quote work, pay my end of the month bills and paint!
the stuff i got ive used in the past and im so tiered of products claiming sh** they don't deliver i went with something i know (kinda)
hermitite hammer finish was the most amazing product but due to the same shithouse underhanded dealings that go on in global monopolies they got brought out and hence a lesser product is delivered,
i will say that its close to the original and the guarantee rust protection for 8 years, and it will never crack peel fade or do anything other than work for 8 years.
i had a muscle care with the chassis done in it and it was unbelievable, this is about 155 worse id say due to how the paint "feels".
anyway this is a coat of primer and a coat of painy... i like...

stil tacky since the temps dropped a bit and the areas that need to look good will get a second coat

thanks for looking!

I really appreciate your posts and pics. I am following your build closely. My old chassis is in my driveway and I am not touching it until I have a) finished organising my garage (80% done and I'm pleased..I don't want to be in a mess when I start this) b) wallpapered the wall in our entry and c) patched the plaster around our woodheater install, cover the gorgeous ( :? ) bricks with blueboard, paint that wall and 'look at' tiles to tile over the blueboard. Coupla daaaaays! Well...maybe two weekends. I LOVE my chassis lol. But I had better get moving because brushing off the rust will have to be done outside and in good weather (my motivation is directly related to sunshine hours lol). Go YOU..looking awesome.

Wire wheel the rust off and use this stuff...One thing it hasn't become is more expensive...34 bucks for 750 mas I thought wasn't bad.
If you want any tiling advise just holla

i need to finish off my welding and have to not keep turning the trailer frame over because it isnt getting any lighter, i scored these todayImage, expensive in american terms but everything is here.
i finished all my welding on one side and fliped it onto the other edge so i still have access to both sides,i did a qoute the otherday for a guy who owns a fabrication shop so i might do a contra and get him to do some of my lower section work.

It's made by hammerite, special metals primer.
I've used one in the past called PA10 but I think they stopped producing it as it gave off fumes when welding.
This stuffs good and gets good coverage.
The black paint is the proper hammerite not the garbage they sell at super cheap ect
You can order it through any decent paint shop.the top coat can go straight over rust if you clean it first and also comes in smooth finish as well as hammered.about 76 bucks for 750 ml of primer, top coat and 500 ml of thinners.gaurunteed for 7 years not to rust and it's super tough

Well finally got back into it over the last couple of days and sealed the underside of the floor added all the perminant wall to floor fixtures , cut and fitted all the roof spars and generaly made plans for the next few days.
I'll fit the insulation and wiring on the sidewalls then clad them before final fitment.
I took some pics but I havnt resized them so I'll have to do that later.
Nice to be making saw dust and seeing progress again though

I had a hold up on some trailer changes yet to be done but decided to just get on with the house build and adress the trailer later, I've still been trying to take 2 weeks off to get my teeth into it

Hi Dale,
I have had a look on trademe, but topmaq haven't got any struts on a $1 no reserve at present.
But I did see this outfit listing on trademe in NZ. They are Australian listing struts for around NZ$40 - $60 for a pair free post. Would be interesting to see what they want for them over there. http://www.gasstrutguys.com.au
