I made the bed so I thought I would post some photos. Thats the cutting board that fits over the sink on the left. It rattles on the sink when we drive and luckily it just happened to fit between the bed and the counter.

The cabinets over the foot of the bed. I was worried that there wasn't enough foot room but it hasn't been an issue. I also got the trim over the seams between the ceiling panels installed. My wife made both the quilts on the bed.

I 'm never right about what we use the cabinets for; I thought we would use the top cabinets for food but we keep our clothes in there:

Thanks David. It's been 20 months since I bought the van. Assuming I worked 20 hours a week on it I've got $80K of labor in it at a tradesman's rate of $50/hr. :? Kinda feel it should look nicer after doing the math.

I'm not sure how it could possibly look nicer! What a beautiful interior. And the quilts are absolutely awesome.

Re: aVANger Build Night Light

Postby bdosborn » Sun Apr 16, 2023 5:10 pm

I added a night light to the bottom of the aisle cabinets, I typically have it set to red at the minimum brightness. It makes it easier to find the porta potty in the middle of the night since we usually have window shades on all the windows and it gets really dark inside. BUT it does more, much more :D :

In the event of an emergency landing, passengers should DANCE to the nearest exit, as indicated by the emergency floor path illumination.

Re: aVANger Build Drawers

Postby bdosborn » Sun Apr 16, 2023 6:00 pm

I'm finishing up drawers 1.0. I tried my hand at box joints and used some POS plywood that was in the garage. Now that I have everything roughed in and sized I'll probably make drawers 2.0 next winter out of some nice wood. Lots of chip out with the cheap plywood. But these will work for now. The drawers on the trailer came out really nice, these are a little disappointing so no closeup photos :NC .

I think a strobe light and black light would go good with the music in the video
