Just saw your hatch calculator in another thread and thought I would see the build thread for other amazing feats. Looks sweet! How goes the trailer? Excited to see this one in finished condition with how well you've done piecing it together. Hope all is well!

I have not posted in quit awhile, but I am still been working slowly on my trailer. I have completed the majority of the wiring in my trailer.

I made a panel for my battery switch. This panel also includes a voltage meter, a battery reset circuit breaker, a 12V plug and a USB plug.




I then installed the panel and a converter in the trailer. These are located just inside the door on the left hand side under the dinette/bed combo.




Wiring was ran to all the different areas of the trailer. Here is a picture of the wiring running through the storage area under the dinette/bed combo.




I installed a stereo and 12V charging center above the rear of the dinette/bed area. There are speakers on the inside of the cabin and also the galley area.




Here are a few pictures of the exterior lights. I will have to remove theses to paint the outside, but I wanted to fit them before hand.







I am further along and will make additional post over the next week or so to catch up to where I currently am.

Have been thinking about how I will finish the exterior of my trailer. I am considering using either Interlux Brightside boat paint or Monstaliner roll-on bed liner. The boat paint would allow for a smoother finish, but the roll-on bed liner would be a more durable coating that would also cover up slight imperfections in the surface finish. I guess I a leaning more towards the Monstaliner.

Kayakdlk (Dan) has used Monstaliner on his teardrop and has been very satisfied with it. http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=65559&hilit=Monstaliner

I am still planning on a multi-color design, but have changed is up a little from my previous design. Below is my currently design.



As for my build progress I have been working on the finish stuff in the cabin and gallery areas. Will post some pictures of that soon.

I have completed some of the interior stuff on my trailer.

I got the flooring installed. I used a 6" strip wood grain vinyl material. It is glued down. You can see the flooring in the following photos. The color of the flooring is closest to the color in the second picture.

I also completed the storage area that is located under the bottom bunk area in the front of the trailer. My original plan was to store a spare tire in this area and whatever else ends up in there.



This area has a reinforced plywood lid and will be covered with a mattress.



I then finished the dinette table and rear bed area. The table was made from a re-purposed dining table I found on Craigslist. I got the table for $25, cut it down to fit, sanded and refinished it. I still have half of the original table that I can use for another project down the road.







I am not sure how much I will ever use the dinette table, but at least I will have it if I ever need to.

Have you figured out what your going to put in the port holes on your Trolley top?

I made some screens for the inside. cut out a design that would cover the holes and cut out the inside. I did two pc at once front and back pc and screen will sandwich between.
that reminds me I was going to sand them down today.

Doug used some sore of port hole for his to bad we can't ask him how he did it. But I think Dean of eureka may have helped.

my out side will have a framed pc too only I will have plexiglass in it. It will hinge at the top and I plan to cut small slits in the screen so I can push them open with a rod.

Have you figured out what your going to put in the port holes on your Trolley top?

I am going to use Beckson inspection ports that are normally used on boats. I have already bought them.



Here is a link to the Beckson website: http://www.beckson.com/fixedsp.html The ports I am using are listed at the bottom of this website. They have a few different sizes, mine are the 4 inch black ones.

The biggest problem I will have with them is how to trim out the inside. Will probably end up making wood rings.

What a fantastic build! Really nice work.

I used the same ports on a sailboat that I built. I trimmed them out just as you described, with wood rings that I made from some purple heart I had lying around. Worked great.
