Yep with 33 lbs for the water the tank and hardware would weigh about 60 lbs. Still crouching under a cabinet 60lbs can be a back strainer and holding it upside down with the water gurgling through a small hole as the water splashes on your new tennis shoes could be an eternity. Yes I over estimated the time too.

I have one of those I picked up at Harbor Freight. I found that the drill pump actually slowed the water flow down quite a bit; the siphon alone had better water flow.

That's interesting, Cliff. I'll try mine after the Buckskin Roundup.

I found the pump in the bargain bin at the Nissan dealer a couple of weeks ago. I doubt that it is a high quality unit, but the price was right.

It has to be higher quality than the HF unit!

Remember me? I am still alive and my tiny travel trailer was taking a long nap. I have rekindled the trailer building fire and started working on it again. I am skinning the exterior now.

Just read through your thread, cool little trailer, Keep an eye on the pvc piping.
Being a long time RV tech, I've been through copper, galvanized, quest, pvc and pex in trailers. PVC was the biggest fail in the rv industry, couldn't stand up to the vibrations and get very brittle over time.
PEX so far has been the best I have seen in RV's, just watch the pvc and check connections on a regular basis
If it ain't broke, fix it till it is

Good point about the PVC. The only good thing is my "pipe" shall remain pretty accessable for repair or replacement in future with something better.

I have skinned the roof today and finished the lip that encircles the pop top opening. It has a 1/2" lip that is meant to help keep rain water from flowing into the cabin area.

Close up of lip detail.
