I liked that model, how wide did you figure that trailer would be?

I'm waiting for the cushions to be delivered, other than that I put a little varnish on the table trim just a couple of hours ago. These photos don't show the seat backs.

I figured it would be about 78" wide on the inside, which is the length of the bed. Then the walls can be any thickness...

Steve... your work is too cool - just superb. You have such a mastery of your craft now that you can in essence "freestyle" as you go along and create. Just awesome. You and Jay Shafer of Tumbleweed Homes are doing great work. Give me a nice piece of land and the Gypsy Caravan, and I'm a happy resident and camper too!

You should. In all seriousness, the Gypsy Caravan and Vardo style would really be an excellent addition to the Tumbleweed lineup of his mostly cottage style, A-Frame lofts. And you obviously have great skills and imagination for Vardo. It'd be a great compliment.

As you know, Jay inspires a lot of people with his message and lifestyle, he's a great people-person, and from that he sells the plans for his homes and kits. Look at your thread count here on this project alone, now imagine some PR behind it! Someone on this forum has gotta hit it big! The talent is sure here.

I was going through this thread from the beginning again, just to watch the progress again.

This particular post reminded me of the campground I used to frequent when I was back in New York state. They had one of these. I didn't realize how pricey they were at the time. It's a wood-fired sauna.

I don't see why it couldn't be adapted to a trailer. Bet it would be very popular at gatherings!! A waiting line to get in when the weather isn't quite where it needs to be.

I did a little roof work today, or under the edge of the roof at each end of the vardo. Lots of end grain to encapsulate with epoxy then the end cap rails goes on.
