Wider rims with the wider tires?

Actual the guy says I don't need wider rims. These are wide enough... :worship:

:woohoo: Found new tires. They are still 8" but are 8 ply so weight limit is 1075 ea... I also had them roll the axle and put the new spring seats on. The crown is now straight up in spite of the long spring shackles. The tires now sit straight up so they should wear better.

+1

Prem, I'm getting a bit of an optical illusion from this pic - on my netbook the image is taller than the viewport in the browser... so as I scroll down the tire appears to rotate. 8)

Miriam,

That's SOME TRAILER. Great job!!!

I just acquired an old pop up trailer frame and will be starting my build. I hope I can hold my own among all the talented ladies here on the forum.

 Thank you Becky! I didn't get a chance to see this sooner. All I can say is go for it! I really miss my Trailer! I keep thinking of a better way to do it and really I liked mine.

The thing is if you put the bed over the wheels you don't need to modify the axle and it will sit lower. Might be better!

I guess I didn't get around to posting the aftermath of the storm. The teardrop was cut in half so we could use it to salvage some of our things. The TD sits outside and I will decide this spring if she is to be rebuilt! For those of you who are worried about these being sturdy---it took a chain saw to get mine apart. The roof was only 1/8" and the sides are 3/8".

My extra foot/ the plan

Postby tonyj » Sun Feb 12, 2012 12:25 pm

I am sure lots of us hated to see you have to do that to all your hard work, but we are just as anxious to see you build another. The first one is always just for practice anyway, right?
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Auntie M, the reality of the situation that was thrust upon you and your family be mother nature is just mind boggling. :?

Hopfully things have gotten as "back to normal" for you as can be expected after such a tramatic event. :worship:

That being said, I am sure I am not alone when I say that we are all looking forward to your new, next, and/or rebuild.
