That caravan fits in the garage and it's a standy! WOW!That's impressive! You really planned this well.
There's no tongue showing in the front of the garage...it's in the garage backwards and you don't have a pull-through garage! But, that caravan is heavy! Did you use one of those two-wheel hand truck thingies to manually pull it in? I do have one of those two-wheel hand truck thingies, and I put the trailer in tongue first so to have more room at the front of the garage, also depending on which end of the trailer I want to work on. I would guess the trailer weighs about 1400# right now, about the same as my teardrop.
The first layer of paint is on and the wood grain is still showing through, even in the pictures. Is that a special staining paint or did you thin it down a lot? Is the plan to always have the woodgrain show through?
3 layers of CPES and 3 layers of gloss alkyd enamel and still have grain showing. I sanded with 220 grit after each coat of CPES. The CPES raised the grain a little. I was hoping for a wood grain look. I think if I had used a few coats of primer it would have hidden it.
Dang! Are we all gonna hafta come to Florida to see it? YupYou'll have so many people coming down there that the whole state will fall into the ocean!

I just ran across this thread today, and all I can say is, AMAZING! Your first post was 3 months and 6 days ago. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years celebrations have all taken their toll on build time, I'm sure, and yet you have created a masterpiece. I am in awe of your skills. I hope I can make it out to Florida some day to see it in person.
