Steve!

It looks great! Man, I'm impressed. It took me about a year to get as far on mine to where you are on yours! Great work!

thanks folks. You have to remember that I'm retierd, and I let my chores slide for a couple days.

Actually, it was good for me. I forgot to eat lunch last Friday, and the doctor had put me on a diet..a win-win situation..

Oh, and we got our tax refund today. The wife wants half, but that leaves a few bucks for the camper... :applause:

Well, I worked on the camper today. It has been a while...

I built and installed the bed platform. I am 5'-7", so I fit sideways just fine. There is a good amount of storage under the bed. A perfect spot for the spare tire.
 The framing may look odd, but it lays out @ 16" O/C from the left side. I plan to cover the frame with scrap paneling.

Image

I bought 3- 2x4's and one $12 sheet of luan from Lowes, and two hinges for $2. Not to bad for the bed platform. And it will hold my spare tire up too.

And here is another shot with the platform down.

There's a lot to be said for being a size that fits in places.

Would have loved my trailer to be able to manage us sideways.... but me @ 6' and Nicola 5'11", and both large , it aint ever gonna happen in a TD.

I really like the frame and outcome of your bed platform.
Greetings from England.

Rian.

Hoping to get it all done in time.

My AC arrived Friday. I installed it this morning, just to see how it fit...had to move one stud to the right a bit, but she fits nice...

Steve you and I are gonna be in big trouble, when my wife finds her carpet in your trailer!!

It's okay though; boys are boys , and all that. :D

Nice work on you build!

Billy,

I have put the same carpet in the last 6-8 houses I built. It's easier than going through the hassle of picking out a different color... and, it goes well with the paneling in my camper... ;)

Well, I finally got to work on my camper today.

I have been helping the youngest daughter and her husband build a new deck. I stepped on a rusty nail 2 1/2 weeks ago and it got infected. I still walk with a limp, but it's getting better..

I straightened the used window frames with my new HF 5" bench vise. Thanks for that tip there Len. I did not use a hammer...

I applied 1/4" luan plywood to the left side and cut window opens. That is about all for today. It will take a couple hours to clean up the mess I made with the table saw, chop saw and router.

It's looking good, Steve. Are you making an exact replica from Andrew's design library?
