That is one seriously sweet trailer Bruce. I love it. MY next which is at least 5 yrs out is going to be a standie that looks like an up side down row boat. Still in the middle of the night, dream stage right now. You know when you wake up and can't get back to sleep cause the trailer is stuck in your head.

I keep looking at offroad trailers. I thought I was done building trailers but maybe in 5 years I'll be ready for another one too.

My next one is inspired by the Little Traveler in the vintage plans only reversed with the point on the front.

I finished the Giant Teardrop in 2008. The OWW has been on the drawing board even longer than that... So I guess I'm ready for another one too!

Gary just finished his, so he's a few years out!!!

Thanks Gary,

That's awful pointy... I'm not sure I'm ready to build something that extreme.

On a different subject, the more I think about it, the more I am leaning towards PMF. Did you ever test it with oil based paint?

Well, we have to visit the rocket nosed front end, and make a new model to determine the feasibility of the design for two people and two dogs!

I was hoping to start this spring... but a few months won't make much difference in the grand scheme of things...

Gee Mike you were up late lastnight. Play with going out to 6' wide. It gives you alot more flexibility on the interior.
Our bed room is 6 by 6 which gives room for potty and dressing room and the galley is 6 by 6 also which is really comfortable.
With the chisel nose I don't think it will give you much more air drag.

ON the PMF I used oil base for the last two cover coats. It is a real mess smoothing out the bubbles when
you put the bed sheet on with the latex primer I'd hate the think what it would be like with oil base.

I played with the front end a little bit this morning. You can see I made the nose flat on one side and curved on the other side...

It very quickly became apparent that the nose interferes with having a completely flat door. And I'm thinking I don't want to build a curved door.

Any other ideas?

You could move the door back behind the curve, but that would cause some other interference, probably
God Bless

Mike, with the break point for the front sidewall curve were it is in the drawings, will that effect the bed area inside? Does it work to move it forward a bit, in front of the door?
