Well, I've had plenty of distractions like having to weld the Jag up for the MoT but I've finally got a first coat on the trailer yesterday after what feels like about 20 coats of primer and Spato-rapid lol. The weather is looking good today so hoping I might get the paint finished on the main body and move onto the side and galley doors and get them fitted tomorrow fingers crossed
One question about technique, please - how did you paint and not get overspray all over your garage? If it was me painting, the whole place would be covered in blue.
Take care,
Tom

Lol. Thanks. I've got a huge tarpaulin on the floor to cover the blockwork but you're right. I have blue everywhere. It'll clean off with thinners ;-)
Well I've had a change of heart and decided although I like blue, the trailer could do with more than one texture.
So....I purchased marine standard PVC leatherette fabric which is UV, water, mould resistant and clad the front bottom half and both sides using high temperature adhesive. Then I've sealed all the edges ready for repainting the aluminium mouldings. Looking much better I think
Actually I do have some very small bubbles but they're negligible. It has a fabric back and as soon as you add the adhesive you effectively double it's weight so it stretches when you pick it up. Very hard work putting it on but will be well worth it when it's finished.
