Mike - when you try to render it I suspect you'll find the bottom front panels have different angles at the top and bottom edges, and will need to be done in triangles like in this illustration (the perspective is not perfect but you'll get the idea):

I would really be interested in some dimensions or more detailed plans if you plan on moving forward with the design.

For some unknown reason, the last two designs with the incorporated tongue box have reminded me of a Darth Vader mask. Maybe the box is too streamlined? ...Dunnno.

I have very little experience building, the only thing I have built was a 15 foot carolina skiff a few years back, funny enough, midway through building that boat I decided I wanted to build a teardrop trailer some day.

I love the classic teardrop profile, but the simplicity of the weekender style really appeals to me, plus I like the off road look.

We like to travel out west, and while our rig is considered "small and lightweight" in the RV world, we would like to have something much more economical.

a HF trailer 4 sheets of plywood some paint windows and a vent a fairly cheap to build trailer.

make it as simple as you want or add all the extras you want.

with built-in cuteness and campability what more do you want.......

I thought I'd start playing around with another idea. With the cost of materials going up and up, I thought I'd do a design that only needs 1 sheet of plywood per side.

It's not quite as small as the Pico light that Andrew did, but it's definitely a lot smaller than the giant teardrops and trailers I've been building lately.

If there's an interest, I'll put some more numbers to the drawing...

I really like this design but I was just wondering how long the sleeping compartment is? Looks like maybe 6 to 6 1/2 feet. Could work for me but it would definitely have to be at least 5 foot wide. Really cute looking design.

It would make a Sweet little Foamie , very Light and easy to make Wider ... You could easily round out the sharp edges slightly for less wind resistance ...

I really like this idea for a small weekender! I was looking at your original weekender for a deer lease camper, but I think I'd like this to slide onto my 4 X 8 Utility trailer! add a couple of jackstands and i have a portable cabin!

Funny how when you find your future teardrop you just know it. I have been searching for several weeks for a design and this is it. I was considering the Pico, but wanted to add a rear hatch hatch. I really do not need something at 280 pounds, but I do want light, small, and simple. For some reason this design is just like it was done for me.

Since the thread is old any advice or links to similar builds? I have searched many times, and will keep at it, but any guidance it appreciated. I have many questions, but I will start a new build thread titled the nano weekender build for future searches.
