Looks like it works great and will be easy to service.

One suggestion, put an inline fuse, circuit breaker or fusible link on the hot lead as close to the battery as possible, that way if a wire between your bat and panel chafes on an edge or one of those staples you will be covered.

Thanks KC, I will do that. I looked and looked in the forum for a straight up 12v system to copy but couldn't find one. I have an inline in my box of electric junk that I can use.

Nice build! Very simple and I love that about it. My basic design will be much like this. It is nice to how good it looks with the sloped front.

Thanks. A departure from all the sweet trailers being built by people in this forum. Sure was quick and easy. For the slope I did a 1 foot down and 2 feet back, not sure what angle that works out to.

Put some "struts" in to keep up my rear hatch and get rid of the pole. Just some PVC rectangular tubing I had from a railing project. Cut a tenon to go inside the tubing. I have locking pins to put through the tenon I can add but I'm not sure I need them, going to see how things go. The hatch is really heavy, the tenon goes into the tube over an inch. That is a lot of lift at the back edge. Probably will do the better safe than sorry and add them.

May I please know the source of your electrical distro panel? It looks like something I might want.

I picked it up from a local RV dealer. They had replaced the inverter/panel on a unit and he pulled it out of the junk parts. Charged me $5 or $10. I cut a slot in some scrap wood blocks to make a mount. Not real pretty but effective. I want to add some type of gauge to monitor my battery.

I really like minimalist designs. I also thought about a cot for a bed. Do you think a 15" high cot is to high? I like the storage underneath the cot.

Anyway, I started with a design very similar to yours but got sucked into all the very cool builds on this site and seem to have added numerous changes as I went.

Enjoy your camper.

I found the cot to not be very comfortable. I thought it was going to be but one night on it and I was changing up to a platform. It was not too high for me to sit on and not hit my head. But I'm short at 5' 9" and my trailer is a full 48" inside. I did find it a bit high for getting on and off and through the door. I didn't realize how much until I put in my platform bed. My platform is only 8" off the floor and when it was done I found it much easier to move around. I went lower when I put in my platform because of my window. I had positioned my big side window with the plan to sleep on the floor. The cot(at about 15" high) put me up even with the bottom of the window which was weird. I measured what I had put under the cot to see how low I could go to compromise between storage and window height. I guess the moral of this long story is that I wish I had positioned my window higher in the wall. Having the platform about 12" off the floor would be perfect. Now that I have gone this direction I would never go back to the foam on the floor design. To me this works so much better. This trailer is just for me, I don't have to try and cram in two people. If the wife is going we are taking the big trailer. Not sure if you noticed but I hinged the platform at the wall so I can lift it up also.

OK everybody, it's now very cold up here in Michigan and I have zero insulation. Just a 3/4" plywood box sitting on a HB frame. How do I go about a remedy for this? For the floor I'm thinking of just working from the bottom and stuffing a couple layers of cut foam pieces between the cross members and then maybe a sheet of plastic screwed to the bottom. Inside? I hate to give up much space. Would some of that green folded up stuff they put under vinyl siding screwed to the wall help much? Hate to give up much thickness. Suppose I could pull it out come spring though? Anyway - Suggestions?
