Todays progress. Forward interior skins, some bracing for the forward "head board", some wiring provisions and curved inserts for the doors.

Also, the "Executive Committee" decided that the screws in the very boring baltic birch was not an acceptable look. So she formed an exploratory committee to propose a solution to the esthetic issues.

So, I advised a veneer could be used. The CEO was presented with options, and it was decided by an overwhelming majority that Mahogany veneer would be installed on the walls.

That having been said, seams are no longer an issue. LOL

The CEO changed her mind. Again. We are gonna cheat a little. We are going to try the vinyl stick on floor tile that looks like rough sawn barn wood. It is actually quite beautiful. And cheap and easy too.

Detail work has begun... little visible progress, but it is still progress.

Routed out the vent fan hole, finished routing the rear door opening, drilled some wiring holes for AC and DC fixtures and outlets, sanded a couple places, ran some caulk in a couple places.

Found out my spar varnish mixture went off, so a new gallon will be purchased Thursday when I get home I guess. I guess plastic paint mixing cups with lids don't seal good enough. Lost about a half gallon of mix. . Live and learn...

Rear wall is installed as well.

Last image is the stick on stuff we plan on using for the interior walls. It actually looks pretty good.

My advice with the peel and stick is to go ahead and use a compatible trowelable adhesive as well. I have had bad luck with the peel and stick tiles lifting up with large temperature changes (on a plywood bench top in my uninsulated garage... once I used trowelable flooring adhesive to restick the tiles it has not been a problem).

Good tip. I planned on using some type of adhesive. I was thinking about contact cement spray, but the trowel-able stuff may be better.

I hate, but love days like yesterday and today. I have very little tangible evidence of work accomplished. Yet, there has been lots done...

Wiring, some insulating, varnish/sealing of parts and pieces, some more wiring. Oh and wiring.

Having a hard time getting the tile on the interior to stick. It all fell off even with contact cement spray. I probably did it wrong. Im gonna give it another try tomorrow.

Loved the way it looked until it all started peeling up....

Do you think construction adhesive would be better then old school contact cement? Or vinyl tile adhesive?
