Well the glue for the bubble in the ply held until a day or two after those rebates were routed. A friend put me on to polyurethane glue, it is far more suitable to the task.
1. It is runny so got down where the construction adhesive could not
2. It only takes 24hr to full strength not 2 weeks!
3. It seems stronger. Though this could be the higher surface area gripping thanks to point 1
After taking the clamps off I cut away the expanded excess with a sharp knife then ran around with the router again to clean up.
Amazingly I can't tell now which is the re-glued ply, except for one small swelled section where it was not clamped quite enough.
