Sharon, it would not have been possible to get anything thicker than the CPES into the wood. Thick glue would not have moved through the thin little medical syringe I needed to use. It was difficult enough to get even that small medical needle in between the plys. Because of the fiberglassing on the outside it was still held together pretty well, and I didn't want to do even more damage by forcing the wood further apart than need be.

I'm getting ready to head outside shortly. We'll see how it worked out.

If the CPES reactivated the existing plywood glue, you'll be in good shape. It doesn't sound like the damage is too bad; so, I hope that's what it did.

Yes! Fingers crossed!

The verdict is in. It worked.....a little. It's more solid than it was, but I there is still a couple of places where it is not completely solid. I am not going to worry. I have one more coat of resin to do on the outside of the hatch, I will just run it over the edge and put my trim on. It is what it is.

Got a last coat of paint on everything....the outside of the trailer, the fenders, the frame. Tomorrow we will wax it and I will start installing things.

My husband reads my journal and he remarked to me today how supportive and encouraging everyone on the forum is. I told him I couldn't have done it without you guys. Thanks so much!! And Happy Easter.

Becky, I'm not sure about the marine paint that you are using, but most paints that I am familiar need time to cure or out gas before waxing. Even if you are using a two part and it has set up, you may want to check, or just wait a month or so before sealing it.

Just saying, you may want to check into it if you haven't already.

Good Point, KC. CPES also out-gasses.

Thanks for bringing that up KC. Lance and I were talking about that very thing just awhile ago. I was also thinking about the fact that this paint cures slower in cold weather and the nights are still quite cool here. Waxing can come later. See how my forum friends get my back!!!

Becky, I must say that I have enjoyed your progress on this build. You started as a novice and became a pro. Hope to meet you and Lance at the CRA

Hey Becky glad its finaly coming together for you and like KC said take your time before you wax it. Read the info on your paint and see what it shows for your temp because the marine paint I used on my sail boat I had years ago, you couldn't wax for the temp I was in for 15-20 days!

Cliff
In God we trust, shoot the rest and he will sort out!

Thanks for the info Cliff. I think we have decided to forego the waxing for quite a while. As a matter of fact, we are going to put on another coat of paint tomorrow.

Becky...that was probably your best bet on the corner repair. In cases like that I use an exacto blade or a single edged razor blade and help push a thicker type epoxy into the crack. Epoxy is too thick to get to flow out a needle. I do separate the laminate if I can and space it with finishing nail, and at times (although messy) have used the air nozzle to "blow" the epoxy into the area. Clamp with waxed paper and let it cure. Thanks Doug. I will try that. I just have one more tiny little separation and I do think I can get a razor blade in there.
