Actualy I just had a bit of a thought as I typed this care of some "Sheddie "sarcasm. ...Swamp marlin ;)

Think of your roots mate and give it its full title, "The Hikurangi Swamp Marlin".
Don't forget Mount Hikurangi (on East Cape) has strong cultural significance and the peak is traditionally regarded as the first land in the world to catch the rays of the new day's sun. We have our own smaller Mount Hikurangi here in Northland overlooking the swamp.
Think of the conversation starter the name would be when you are camping and you would no doubt attract a few Kiwis. :D
 I am being serious this time!

I was just re organizing things out the back so I could cut some sheets up and decided to hook her up to the crusier and take it for a spin around the block.
She towed realy well and sat well hight wise to considering the land crusier has a 4 inch lift in total.
It's amazing how small it looks out in the big olé world ...I took some pics too!

I had that same impression when I wheeled my trailer out of the shop for the first time. It got small real fast!

Sure does! Even though mines tall it still looks dinky in tow.
I recon the shapes going to suit the curves of the 80 series nicely too.

The Hikurangi Swamp Marlin is Lookin good  Looks to be spot on for height and width with the cruiser, and sitting level, should slipstream nicely
It probably looks smaller at present because your eyes don't really see the skeleton frame under it. It will give quite a different appearance when the outer skin goes on. Although if it is all the same colour, with its height, it might make it look shorter.

Yea happy with ride hight and level Ness.
It will change a bit once it's got the cladding on but the bottom section won't be the same for the exact reason you mentioned, it would look way to squat.
But for an odd ball size of 5"4 wide and just over 9" long and 5 high including the subfloor it all looks pretty in proportion

i put the front wall section of the ceiling/interor lining in today and it was a real bastard as i did it on my own.
its a tiny bit out on the radius where the sheet ends but not to bad and ill deal with it later when i fit the inbetween bit.

i also calked up the ceiling and sealed the back of the last sheet with a heavy coat of penetrating sealer, witch is now its second coat

Looking really good. That bracing was my least favorite part so far. 49 of them! You're coming along really good. Remind me why you built in the height. I think you told me once and Carrie was asking but I couldn't remember. I told her it was to keep away the snakes and Tasmanian Devils! (She didn't buy it...)

I believe it was for under floor storage of things including prized fishing poles, IIRC.

Uh huh, I'm putting a slide out kitchen in a 5 foot draw on the left; fishing rods in the center and another draw for storage on the right.
At the front will just be 2 doors to adress the front section.

So I've got a problem...As I said yesterday I glued the front piece of ply inside on my own and in the process I've put a bow in one of the spars.
The one below it at floor level is straight and the one above it is pretty good as well.
I need to somehow de - bow it without it springing back as it currently is now.im considering building a tall ish curved topped box for the battery and fridge at the front and wondering if I might need to use this to hold the bow back or using some additional framing.you can see the spar in question in my previous pics...it's the second pic up.
It's probably bowed out by around 1/4inch

 I hate to say this now, but you wouldn't have had that issue if the sheet had finished on the flat and not part way through the curve. There are a few options to remedy this problem.
Looking at the exterior photo it appears that the spar at the top of the sheet is not parallel to the next one down, or is this the camera telling stories? How were you planning on having the two sheets butting together?
