Del...I'm sure you thought of this...now just make up a cardboard template for the pieces of the license plate inset, and tape them together...see how it fits...then cut the pieces out of thin ply and glass/epoxy away, If you want to get it looking more to your liking...get a felt pen and start drawing lines and view from behind. Only one chance to cut it without a lot of extra work...I really like the depth to the recess you have, really a nice touch!!! Doug

This afternoon I will break out the cardboard I found yesterday. I just recycled a bunch of cardboard last week, go figure.

I figured out where to cut the tag opening and marked it. So far I have cut one side, right of the picture.

You can sorta see the cut here line on the left.

Today I cut out the other side of the tag hole.

I also worked on sanding and then adding more resin to make the cloth smooth(er).

Today I sanded and added more fiberglass. took a couple of hours, but a picture would look the same as the last pic I took.
While drinking my coffee today I worked on my blog, added a section on spars. I wish I had an editor.
