On the driver side, I had a better 1947 Oldsmobile fender than my Chev fender :thinking:

so I cut the top off it and blended it to the 1947 Pontiac fender.

Note: the gas filler on Pontiacs and Oldsmobiles are both on the drivers side, while the Chev fender has it on the passengers side.
So I had 3 gas filler holes to fill. :roll:

Now back to the trunk lid.

Both skins have been shortened.

Here is the 1957 Dodge Custom Royal trunk lid that I will modify to become the rear roll pan and galley floor. :thinking:

Instead of filling the gas door in, wouldn't it be cool to make it the shore power connection? Kind of like an electric car charging port.

That was close to the original plan?? :thinking:

I was going to use the gas lid as the access lid to the propane quick connect, similar to that used on the Camp-inn trailers.
But.....having the hose hanging down the side of the fender just didn't seem like a good idea.
We have our shoreline plug, plus our breaker box at the tongue end (similar to Miss Piggy) as we find that works best for the way we camp. :thinking:
