Working on the doors again. Here's the galley with things roughed-in, prior to final sand & stain.

Stained & drying on the porch, next step will be a few coats of urethane.

Cabin doors are finished & hung now. Another item off the list, still a bit more to go to be done, but progress is being made. Sorry about the flash reflection on the screen. Too hot to set up lights inside now that summer's here again.

Here's the galley. Did the doors, hardware & finished the upper doors. Need to do a lower drawer for the skillet & sauce pan. It'll sit between the cooler & stove.

Progress! Here's how it looks now with things finished & in place.


Ball catches for the doors, PITA to set up, but they work well enough & keep the doors shut when travelling. The doors are square lip edged in the center (mistake I won't go into here) so only one catch is needed for the pair. One door holds the other closed due to the overlay.


Open, some stuff inside, finally! Nothing to fall out now on a bumpy road.

It's been bugging me since I did the headliner. The canvas I bought said it was "60 inches" wide. The cloth was actually 58" wide, so I had a gap of about 3/8" at each edge on both sides where the ceiling meets the walls, the entire length of the cabin.

Made a couple of flat trim pieces to do the edges, stained, finished & installed them. Here's the back at the cabinets above the port holes.


This is the front at the headboard, where the curve starts at the front radius.


Will be working on the air conditioning this weekend, just in time for summer (actually it's simmer here now).
