Thanks for the positive comments, and sissy (the boss) says woof right back atcha cocoa.

I have been bad about posting last month but I'm going to make it up to you guys. I have 1 month to get the camper done (at least camp-able) so I'm doubly motivated. I'll post pics soon. I almost have the sink and counter and plumbing done. I bought a bamboo bowl from bed bath and beyond for the sink. Its gonna work perfectly And it came with a bamboo fork and spoon I'll have to hang them up for decoration ( everybody loves Raymond reference).

I got alot of quarter round done on the inside, once I finish the sink plumbing and the last interior wall, then I'll be finishing the door and moving to complete the exterior first. As the interior will be good enough to camp. But obviously the exterior is a priority. Here are a couple of pics, one of the bamboo salad bowl I turned into a sink. And the other of some of the trim work.

Ok , so we are getting close. Our first campout is sept 14th! Less than 10 days away! So here is a list of updates completed since my last post. I have the last interior panel up with most of the interior trim. All of the wall and roof insulation in place. Purchased and attached the tongue jack. Completed the door and attached it. So before the campout I have to put the two exterior side walls on and the roof, (which is just going to be painted plywood for this first campout. Then I will put on roofing felt over it and metal roofing over that by the next one.) then I need to caulk and paint the exterior, get new tires, and a window a/c. Also need a couple of lights and I should be good. I'm going to hold off on interior paint/stain until after the first one. So here are some pics of the progress. Let me know what you think.

More pics, also a tip for cutting foam board. I sharpened a big kitchen knife real good and it worked great.

Wolgie,

That is going to one really cool vardo! :applause: The bathroom door idea is a great multipurpose use of limited space. I have filed that idea away for future use.

 Did I see some test patches of maroon color for the exterior? If so, are you going to have some white lettering and a picture of Ole Sarge? On second thought, I guess that wouldn't fit into the vardo theme.

Take care,
Tom

The clock is ticking! I have been feverishly working to get ready for the campout this weekend. I'm getting tires right now for it. The interior won't be painted nor will the couch be covered or electrical hooked up. I'm just running an extension cord inside for this trip. My little girl and I are painting it tonight! I'll post picks this weekend. I will be adding a metal roof soon, but for this trip it'll just be painted wood.

it's official we finished it just in time, it cleared the garage by 1" with the tires half deflated and the door disconnected and push all the way up. But it is a success and we spent the first night in comfort. Here's some other pics including one of my celebrating it's emergence from the garage with the champaign!
