Moving the bed base is a bit tough to be honest. I've been thinking I may trim an 1/8" off one side so that it is not quite such a tight fit from side to side. Other than that I haven't minded moving the bed from bed to couch position. You are right though it is very tight quarters and requires some precise movements.

Today after a quick trip to Home Depot and some good luck in the weatherstripping aisle, I was able to reinstall my fenders. In Home Depot I found a light gray coloured rubber door sweep. This was going to become my fender welting since I could not find a local source for real welting. I think this product actually turned out great and fit the profile of the basic aluminum fenders perfectly. Here's a couple photos of the product I used and a section of the finished install.

Painted my old porch light with black gloss from a spray can. Looks nice and suits the trailer. Got it reinstalled today and wired up to the 12v fuse panel.

Today I got started on two drawers under the counter in my galley. I've been worried about this part for a while since I haven't really ever made drawers before. I took my time... Lots of it... and I think they will turn out good in the end. Top drawer is about 4-1/4" high and 10" deep and the other drawer is about 9-1/2" high and 14" deep. They are 24-3/4" wide inside dimension. Tomorrow I hope to get the drawer fronts cut and installed.

Success! Today I managed to finish installing the drawer fronts on the two lower galley drawers.

My small side counters came back from the cabinet maker that was installing the laminate for me. This morning I put the fold out counter on the hinge.

The drawers turned out great. And the finger pulls are simple elegance.

My TD took a short trip across town today to have the bearings checked and repacked and everything lubed up. Since we were out I took the opportunity to snag a couple current photos of the trailer behind my Honda van. I think she's looking good.

Besides taking the trailer for a bit of preventative axle maintenance today I haven't really had any time to work on the trailer for about a week now. One week ago my wife and I welcomed our new baby boy into the family. mom and Baby are healthy and happy. We named him Nathan and he weighed in at 8lb 4oz and was 21.5 in long. Nathan got to check out the teardrop today and decided that he might like it better than his bassinet.

Yes the little camper is a week old. If they only stayed that small... Hmm a TD could hold a lot this size. :)

For the last week I've been working away at a few small things that needed to get done. I had a stretch of rainy weather outside which gave me some extra time to work on the TD. First up was painting the underside of the floor. The previous owner had left the floor under the trailer bare wood. I read lots on the forum here about the options. I tried some peek and stick strips of a membrane type flashing but had a horrible time getting it stuck well. In the end about 75% fell of on its own so after wasting $50 on that experiment and not wanting to spend anything else on that task I peeled the rest off and used some leftover exterior paint that I has sitting around and coated the bottom with several nice thick coats of paint. IMO that should do for now and I'll revisit it another year. I have a little silicone caulking to do down there still.
