Today I ordered lights, windows, and door hardware. Tomorrow morning I'm going to build the cabinets and hopefully get them installed. My dad offered to come help so that should make the day very productive.
Cheers,
Scott

Once again I wish I would've taken more pictures of the process, but oh well. We were able to fabricate the cabinet frames yesterday. I just received the drawer slides today and will hopefully be able to make and install the doors and drawers in the next few weeks. I also need to do a little bit of trim work as well as cut and install one last piece at the top which will separate the sleeping quarters from the galley. I did a bunch of dados for strength and glued everything up as well as used finishing nails where they won't be seen.

The first two pictures here are actually just the dry fit. I want everything to be as simple as possible. That means no pumps or water tanks, however I did want to have some semblance of a sink. The water jugs spigot sits right above the "sink" and can be opened to use as though it were a faucet. Once the cabinet top has been sealed I'll fix the sink into place and add a drain line that exits out the bottom of the TD. I can merely place a five gallon bucket under in order to catch the grey water for proper disposal.

Here is the initial dry fit. The bottom left will be a set of three drawers. The bottom middle will be a cabinet with double doors. The bottom right will have a single door containing the sink parts and probably hold biodegradable soap and the like. The upper left cabinet has grooves in the top and bottom so it can have sliding doors. The top middle will be an open shelf for spices and such but will have some pieces added to keep them retained during towing.

And here is a picture of the glue up. I didn't want any nails showing on the counter top so we just used some bar clamps with a backer board.

I didn't get much done on the teardrop itself this weekend. I started some wiring but did not get far.

However, I did accomplish something crucial to this project. I installed the trailer hitch on my van. I ordered it online and spent a half hour installing it. It looks great and is barely noticeable without the ball installed. I had to try it out with the teardrop. It tows really smooth and is barely noticeable. (note- I only went five miles an hour and drove about 500 feet) Now i just need to wire the van for tow lights and charging while driving, then that part will be done.
